Great Race 2012 (Kiosks Card Swipe or Checkin)

We swiped at Harrah's Las Vegas Total Rewards yesterday, and played in the casino. The TR clerk said that ID's are required, which we were glad to do. We also visited Paris, Bally's, and Flamingo, and saw no unmanned kiosks.

They know all about the "friends swiping for friends" that is going on, and in response, they now require ID's for ANY TR transaction during TR hours (until 11 pm at most properties; new signs showing the club hours are plentiful). During the hours that the club was closed, there were no standalone kiosks out for self-swiping at the properties we visited.

The clerk said that it was not fair to those who actually spent the time and the money to travel to, and play in, their casinos, to allow just anyone to "swipe" multiple cards without ID. We thanked them for doing that. Harrah's has been very good to us, and we believe in playing by the rules.

Tahoe Harveys and Harrahs check in with id at TR. I don't anticipate either of these two props going to kiosk swipe as it was mentioned at both that id required to prevent the swiping of cards for those not present at that casino.
Reno Harrahs check in with id at TR
Horseshoe Tunica - swipe. Kiosk was not manned.
Which properties in A.C. are you referring to?

showboat
caesars
ballys
harrahs

all have kiosks.

If AC is so Loose...........why is Vegas so tight?

Shoot, AC has nice DL lounges, and FOOD! It blows in Vegas by comparison.

And, WHY Reno/Tahoe so tight with checking Id's? Its only 1 freakkin' point, forpetesake.

Rio--no kiosk or no "swipy" thing at end of counter, & since I had already gotten my points at Paris, I didn't
check with a "real" TR desk person, but I'd guess. . . this was on July 9th. . . . .

Paris--check-in with ID
The Rio swipe was there on July 2nd
I was at Rio on the 2nd (at night) and the terminal was turned off. I would like to know if anyone has used it recently?
They shut it off when the desk closed, but during the day, they had it sitting on the desk and it seemed like they ignored it. I walked up and swiped several cards and no one said anything.
