Great Race Rules

I just noticed the following on the CET website tonight. Are these new rules?

Total Rewards - Promotions - Great Race for Rewards

Who is eligible to participate?

o All Total Rewards Members are eligible.

o Remember, you may not allow any other person to use your Total Rewards card.

o As a reminder, the benefits of this promotion are intended for the use of the person listed on the Total Rewards account. Caesars may disqualify any participant for any prize based upon fraud, dishonesty, violation of Terms and Conditions or other misconduct whether or not related to this offer.

I think the last one or something to its effect has always been there. I think the middle one is new.
These were posted on page 1 of the other thread.

Well, it does not surprise me that CET added this warning about others using your card. When you see people posting on public message boards (I have seen this on several), asking for others to use their cards for them in exchange for the same, you have to assume that the company will also notice this.

It only takes a few misusing a promotion to ruin it for everyone else. I really like this promotion and have my six locations already booked (2 down so far). Even if I only get to 3, this is still a great deal IMO.

Primarily because of this promotion, I already went to 2 locations that I normally would not have, and since I enjoyed my experience there, I plan to return. In my case, this is exactly what CET was hoping to accomplish with this promotion.

Dave - I agree. CET thought this promotion was a good way to reward GAMBLERS for coming to many of their casinos.
But it appears some folks thought it was a good way get rewards by only sending their Total Rewards CARD to many CET casinos.

Edited to add: I just noticed that the new rules I posted were "updated" on the website on July 29, 2011 - so I guess they're relatively new.

I wonder if all the people playing other peoples's cards, and mailing them around the country will waterdown the promotion when it is all completed.

I hope that this practice is not widely used. I personally have not mailed any cards to anyone.

I'm just wondering....can these points be used for rooms and food? Never done anything like this but went to Caesars Windsor over the weekend and will be in Las Vegas and Laughlin before the end of the race.

Yes, in Nevada reward credits can be used for almost everything except tips.

In AZ and CA, reward credits cannot be used for adult beverages and a few other things.
Thanks!
Seems it would be difficult for them (Caesars) to tell if somebody was playing somebody else's card.
