Great Race Rules

I agree, but since their computers can track your play nation wide, simultaneous play on your card at 2 different casinos at opposite ends of the country could and probably would be deemed "suspicous".

They must include disclaimers and rules such as this for their own protection and to serve as a warning of sorts, but in reality it would be pretty hard to enforce. Let's say you legitimately went to 6 different casinos and played, but forgot your card in a machine by mistake. Someone else sits down and earns 1 point before realizing it. Would that mean that you're disqualified for the entire 60,000 points? What if you and your wife were both playing on one of your cards? I could see a lot squabbles and ill will arising after the promotion ends and people don't receive the points they thought they were going to get.

I posted on another thread that I think this promotion could end up costing CET millions, and I still think it will. Imagine if just 1 million TR members got the minimum 15,000 points. That would cost Caesars $150 million.

Chances are if someone left their card in a machine, they already put points on it.

I still feel the majority of people booked extra trips and in the long run, CET will benefit. Most people will play more than one point.
What will happen CET will make all who participate to show ID at total rewards before you can earn chase points playing the chase if they find too many suspect cheats.

Lisa,

I think you've misinterpreted my comment. Let's say you were in a casino, played and earned points but forgot your card in a machine and left. I sit down next, start playing and in my drunken stupor don't realize I am playing using your card. Have I inadvertenly disqualified you? Has my mistake disqualified me? How can anything be proven? I really think the warning is a smokescreen. Granted if someone in Las Vegas was using their card and earning points and suddenly the Total Rewards system showed that same player earning points in Atlantic City they could and should be disqualified.

We have to assume the people that think up and run these promotions are intelligent and have done their homework and income projections, but I just can't get over the fact that they are offering 60,000 points for as little as $30 coin in ($60 on VP) not a loss of $30...just coin in. In order to earn 60,000 points regularly, how much coin in would you need on a video poker machine? I'm not 100% sure, but isn't it $10 coin in for 1 tier point, and earning 1 tier point can translate into about 2.5 Total Reward points? That would mean normally you would have to run $240,000 through a VP machine to earn 60,000 points.

Seems very generous

So I'm assuming that 60,000 points translate to $600. Can that $600 then be used for room costs, restarants and shops? Can you convert it so it can be used for free slot play? Thanks.

Yes on room costs, CET owned restaurants and shops.

Occasionally some of the local casinos have a promotion where one can convert their reward credits to cash. Usually the ratio is 2 to 1. $600 worth of reward credits would equal $300 cash. I've never seen this advertised for Vegas.
Does anyone know how much tableplay is the equivalent for 1 tier credit earned in the slots?

Well, it does not surprise me that CET added this warning about others using your card. When you see people posting on public message boards (I have seen this on several), asking for others to use their cards for them in exchange for the same, you have to assume that the company will also notice this.

It only takes a few misusing a promotion to ruin it for everyone else. I really like this promotion and have my six locations already booked (2 down so far). Even if I only get to 3, this is still a great deal IMO.

Primarily because of this promotion, I already went to 2 locations that I normally would not have, and since I enjoyed my experience there, I plan to return. In my case, this is exactly what CET was hoping to accomplish with this promotion.

Totally agree Dave. I couldn't believe it when I read those posts asking for others to play on their cards. Good grief, if you're going to do it have enough sense to send personal messages......don't ruin it for everyone.

I, too, traveled to a couple of casinos that I generally do not go to and the wife and I are already planning trips back with the offers that we are getting from our play there.

Yep, loose lips sinks ships.
If you're swiping another friend/family members card.......keep a lid on it.
Send a PM.
Do they do this every summer? I'd like to plan for next year.
