Attention Frequent Flyer addicts and Hotel guest program gurus:
Caesars Total Rewards is now a part of TopGuest.com. In a multi-day stay in Las Vegas, you can log 5 different CET (formerly HET) venues per day, and earn 250 Total rewards points per day just by clicking your Smartphone or laptop while at or near the venue. (5 x 50 points.)
More Info can be found at:
https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/milesbuzz-370/ Search forum on "TopGuest" and be sure to read ALL of it because some people got banned for not really being at the TopGuest Location or for "checking in" to too many hotels in one day.
https://lasvegasblog.harrahs.com/ Scroll down if you are reading this blog after today and it's no longer on top
https://topguest.com Click on Total Rewards for Terms and Conditions. Most importantly, you do not have to be a paying guest or buy anything to do this.
Tip: When they say "Check in" they do not mean checking into the hotel. It just means you click on the venue while online at Facebook, Twitter, FourSquare, etc.)
1. Join Topguest
2. Join Facebook Twitter, Foursquare, etc., if you are not already
3. Back at Topguest, LINK the two accounts
4. Back at FB, Twitter, FourSquare, "check in" to the locale
5. An hour or so later, your points are credited to TopGuest
6. Somewhat later (may take weeks), points are credited to Total Rewards (or Hilton HHonors, Holiday Inns, etc)..
I am new to the program, as is Total Rewards. So I can't really answer many questions on the CET/Las Vegas/TR angle.
The Smartphone app depends on its GPS, so you really have to be at the location to get points. FourSquare Mobile may or may not.
I am not going to explain this difficult and confusing program, except to say that I do not have a SmartPhone, but I do have a desktop PC - and - when in Las Vegas, I have a Laptop. FourSquare Mobile is like having a mobile phone, but it can be a desktop, laptop, netbook, or IPad.
So I use Foursquare Mobile, as recommended on the Flyertalk discussion. You can also use Facebook, Twitter, etc. Foursquare Mobile also lets you "hide" your location from Friends, so they don't know where you are and that you are not home.
For frequent flyer-type addicts only. It's hard to figure out and time consuming to get started. A lot of work for a relatively small amount of TR points.
