Harrah's Joliet to remodel Diamond Room and discontinue meals

I was told this when I went to complain about them not having any napkins available to their customers. Apparently people would steal a handful of them. So Harrah's, using their best management skills, decided the best way to handle it was to remove the napkins altogether. The server brings you napkins after she takes your drink order.

So as I was complaining to the person at the desk I was told "It won't matter soon, because after the remodel they will only be serving snacks." So the value of a diamond card continues to go down............... I suppose the Horseshoe in Hammond is next?
And this surprises you? First it was Vegas. Then it was the $10 surcharge in AC. Now "homwtown" destinations are being downgraded.

It all depends on the market.

For the first time ever, at Hammond Horseshoe, my diamond husband got invited to the General Managers Club for gaining 10,000 points on his card, most of which were accumulated in Vegas. We (he) got to choose a gift--outdoor speakers-- and drinks and apples from 4 pm til 8 pm. During each promotional period, you have to earn a set amount of points to stay in the "club." Points can be earned anywhere.

Joy
According to a Diamond Lounge manager she said they were not discontinuing food in the lounge. They are negotiating with Paula Dean to include her in the buffet and possibly a Paula Dean store. If the store goes in, it will go where the Diamond Lounge is. Then they will be moving the Diamond Lounge to possibly where the Club 151 is.
