Harrah's Laughlin advise

Thinking about staying a couple nights down in Laughlin for our up coming trip. Wanted to head down there any ways for the Race promotion. Any advise/insite for the hotel, casino or Laughlin itself? Thanks in advance.

the casino has three towers and the middle one is, i think, the one closer to the diamond lounge and advertised as all adult. the dining options are pretty routine, and not cheap. The tables have low minimums. The JOB is not full pay, wah. The other games may or may not be. The river taxi is not for everybody. If you look on a map, you'll find a road to harrahs, the 'last' casino (not including avi) and avoids the 'congestion' in front of the 6 others. Laughlin is not much, otherwise, and the casino entertainment options are basically all there is. Good luck!

Both the Central and South Towers are supposed to be Adults only. Also, there's a separate pool for the under 18 crowd. Harrahs does have a small beach area which is nice to use in the summer. It may be hotter than hot, but the river water stays cold.

The road is called Thomas Edison Dr. and runs parallel to Casino Dr. There's a group of casinos located on the Colorado river and one can easily walk between most of the properties on the river walk. Harrahs is located farther south and the Tropicana Express is located across the street from the Colorado Belle. It's much quieter than Vegas and caters more to the retirees. IMHO, this is part of its charm. If you have time, search Sionow's trip reports. He's frequently written about the different casinos as well as posted photos.

lisa, didnt see you in the dl last weekend. dont know when i'll be runnin' down that road again. My elapsed time from 215 to seven casino road was just a few minutes over an hour, so I got lucky just getting there alive. Good luck!
