Harrahs NOLA restaurants - using TR points

I'm looking for info about using TR points at Ruth Chris and "partner" restaurants in New Orleans.

I was told that TR points used at the Ruth Chris (on property) are 2 for 1, so if the bill is $100 they will take $200 off your TR points. Does anyone know if this is true? Would it make a difference if we were to charge it to the room and use TR points when checking out?

Has anyone used their TR points at partner restaurants and can you recommend any that are close to the hotel, within a couple of blocks? I'm not into seafood, but like a good steakhouse. Is it 2-1 TR points at the partner restaurants as well?

I appreciate any info and recommendations!
Email them and ask them to send you the list as places may have changed since the last time I was there. Before partner restaurants included Commander's Palace and NOLA. You exchange your points for a voucher at total rewards then take the voucher to the restaurant. Partner restaurants are 2 to 1, $100 worth of points gets you $50 worth of food. I'm pretty sure points at Besh steakhouse are 1 to 1.

Thanks Lisa! Yeah, the website says you have to go exchange points for certificates. I figured they are probably 2-1 if that's what Ruth Chris is doing.

I ate at Besh last time I was there and it's a little too frou-frou for my taste. I thought they had put down butter with the bread and I found out it was some sort of pate, I didn't care for the taste at all.

I was hoping to find a restaurant close to the hotel that we could go too.

I appreciate the info!
Last time we were there most partner's were 2 for 1 but not all. The info should be on the internet. I recall that Manning's was 1 for 1 but this was last May so things could have changed. We did not need vouchers however just produced the card. That might also have changed.

Ruling out seafood, I would suggest the following that are within walking distance of Harrah's hotel.

Emeril's
K-paul's - Dinner only, not lunch.
Morton's - Across the street at Canal Place
August - If you want a fine dining experience

You know of these:
Ruth's
Besh - great if you like filets, double cut pork chop, or gumbo
Mannings. Sports bar food. Duck wings are good.

Thanks!

I think we will hit Mannings for lunch, although the online reviews of the place aren't that good.
