Harrah's Security at FAULT ????? please help

I was playing slots in Harrah's on the strip after finishing work next door and I happened to drop my wallet and i noticed when at the cage to cash out. I told the cage employee and I ran back to the area I was in last. I found a security guard rite there and asked if they found a wallet. It had $240.00 in it so I was very concerned.

The security guard said someone just turned it in to her but for some reason she gave it back the man who found it and she said the man wanted to be sure the owner got it back. I then asked why she would give it back and no answer was given to me. She pointed down the casino and said " there is the guy" and I replied where? She then walked to catch up to him and we eventually caught up to him. I said you have my wallet and he asked if I was Richard and i said no but you have my wallet. The security woman took my wallet and confirmed it was mine. By this time the man took off. Of course my $240.00 was missing and the security woman handed it back to me and left the area. I was very confused of how could a security person for the casino have my wallet in their possession and then turn it back over the finder who then took my money om guessing? Is the Casino liable for my loss? Aren't they to inventory it ? I filled a complaint with HArrahs and a filed a police report but no news yet...... ANY HELP IS NEEDED !!!!!!!!

So sorry I'm just now reading this, and so sorry this happened to you.  As for the casino being "liable" for your loss, you can forget about that.  What exactly would they be liable for anyway?  You dropped your wallet, somebody picked it up and removed your cash before turning it in to Security.  You were lucky to get the wallet back with ID, credit cards, etc.   Maybe the security woman didn't follow procedure for items turned in, in which case the most that will happen is that she will receive some training.  Try to put it out of your mind and move on.  A dishonest jerk stole your $240, not the casino.   Truly sorry, though.
