Harvey's or Harrah's- Lake Tahoe

What are the pros and cons? Any likes or dislikes? Staying only two nights this summer, right now booked at Harvey's. Playing Edgewood as well, can't wait. Preferences and comments please!!!

Harrahs rooms are much nicer! Otherwise, it doesn't matter much, as they are connected to each other. Tahoe is great!!

Try for the Executive rooms at Harrahs facing south.

One of the nicest rooms we have ever stayed in was at Harvey's. The view was fabulous also. It could be that we got an upgrade at check in without asking for it. Only been there the one time but hope to go back soon.

I prefer Harrah's as the rooms are nicer and have TWO bathrooms. For some reason Bill Harrah insisted that each room have two bathrooms. My wife liked that. Harvey's is slightly closer to the water but I don't remember the view being ultimately any better of the lake. The sports book is in Harvey's but I do not know if that is important to you.

I don't think the views of the Lake are as good at Harrahs, but if that's not important to you, then I think the rooms are bigger and nicer than Harveys.

Last time we stayed at Harveys, it was mid-week, and they had booked us into a suite (I didn't ask for a suite, but I am higher diamond) at the end of the hotel, with a balcony, facing lake Tahoe. It was a huge "true" suite (separate bed/living area) and the bathroom had a 2 person jacuzzi tub and steam shower. Probably the most awesome room I'd ever had because the views were incredible. The sunrise and sunsets were breathtaking.

I'm not a fan of either casino and never seem to have any luck there.

Rooms are older at Harrah's, even the best ones are nothing compared to your best places in Vegas, but certainly adequate. Just so you don't have high expectations.

Slots/VP both places extremely tight to me. A guide recommended the Lakeside Casino (I think that was the name) as the most player friendly and where the locals go. We didn't have a car so didn't get there.
