Has anyone been to Harrahs Tahoe recently?

I've booked an executive room at Harrahs Tahoe for 4 nights the end of March. How are these rooms or should I change to a different room. Also is the Diamond Lounge still there and what do they offer?

Last year we stayed at Harveys. So we wanted to stay at Harrahs this time.

I'm hoping for no snow on our travel days as we're driving up from Los Angeles. We've done the 395 and the I80 routes when it's snowing, too old to relive those trips.

Does anyone know if the commercial shuttles run from Reno to Tahoe when it's snowing? We could drive to Reno, maybe leave the car at Harrahs and take a shuttle to Tahoe.
Yes. Exec rooms are Fine. Retro, I like em. Right now weather is super. End of March? We'll see.........
Executives are the best "standard" rooms. They are mix of updated and old (love the UHF TV in the bathroom!). Diamond lounge is still there and it's still pretty average.
They have a carving station called the "Presidents Lounge" which is open to all Diamond and Seven Stars members. It's open on Fridays and Saturdays although I think they only have the carving station open 4-6.

As far as the Diamond Lounge...I much prefer Harveys to Harrahs. Nice place to have a drink, catch some of the soup and sandwiches and enjoy a beautiful view of the Lake.

Have a great time!

Thank you for the room and diamond lounge info. I was able to get all 4 nights comped between 2 of us for the executive room.

Where is this President's Lounge located? We will be there on Saturday and leaving Sunday morn.

I didn't know they had reopened Harvey's Diamond Lounge, it was my favorite of the two properties.
Executive rooms are larger, think Rio compared to your average hotel room, and nicer. Ask for a high floor with a south view.

I thought Harveys DL is only open on weekends and/or busy times, not every day.
I also think its Not open everyday, but if raisin is only there Sat nite? She might be ok.

Weather..........We have Rain forecasted everyday this week,
so looking towards Tahoe? Snow/rain, most of this week.

I hope end of March hits at a good time for ya.
I'll be there in April while visiting step daughter in Carson City.
We're actually going to be there 3/30 through 4/3, Saturday was the only night we had available to try out that President's Lounge carving station that tedde 22 mentioned. My Diamond card low level isn't going to get us into a Summit Suite, so it might be the closest we'll get. We'll check on Harvey's DL and ask what hours they plan to be open for the next few months.

We've had some really nice snowy drives to Tahoe like following a snow plow on Mt. Rose, doing a 360 in the car on I80, and taking the 4 from Angels Camp to Minden in early October(predicted snow came in early). That last one we had cowboys rounding up cattle and all of them coming off a hillside down to the 4 in front of us unexpectedly. Once we got by that, someone had jackknifed an empty boat trailer across the road and we had to wait until Highway Patrol and a tow truck cleared it up, all of this while the snow was coming down. Scenery was beautiful, but of course the camera malfunctioned and we didn't get any pictures. Not sure we're up for any more adventures like those again. We'll be watching the weather forecast to see if we need to reschedule for later.

Hours for Harveys Diamond Lounge are just on the weekends. The President Lounge is on about the fourteenth floor of Harrahs. It is directly across from a lounge where you can purchase/smoke cigars. Use the regular room elevators near where you check in.
