My wife, daughter and best friend are on the mountain right now. (they arrived yesterday afternoon from Boston) Just saw some of the most amazing pictures. Sunny and beautiful..... they are having a BLAST on the double black diamond runs!

Very glad they decided to take advantage of the Harrah's junket! (staying at Harrah's Tahoe). They depart on Tuesday, and are having a BLAST!
I'm leaning towards going unless it's a blizzard end of March. I'll have to try that President's lounge, thanks for the location info.

Got out the winter gloves and jackets to see if I need to supplement what I have already.

I've had some of the Reno/Tahoe and Laughlin flight offers from Harrahs, but there are usually 3 of us who want to go. All 3 are Diamond level, but only I get the offers as I play more. Can you pay to have a 3rd person come on the flights?

Yes! My wife got the offer for two. Her and my best friend used the offer; my daughter (16) went along, and we paid separately for her airfare. Couldn't COMP her anyway, since she is under 21. From the Boston area, they use Southwest to fly Boston-Reno. So, I basically just bought my daughter a ticket on the same Southwest flight (as the group); they included the transfer (Reno airport to Tahoe) for my daughter, no charge.
Call Lynda Thipavong (VP of National Casino Marketing for Harrah's based in L.A.) at 310-403-3158 and tell her you have someone else that is also diamond and would like to go. She can probably either comp them up front or give them a good price.
Thanks Mare, I'll contact her when I find a flight that matches my time off work. I just emailed the person who should know the flights scheduled for Reno/Tahoe offers and asked about bringing an extra person. I supplied his TR players card number so they could review and that he had just received an offer for the Laughlin flights.

baccarat_guy since they seem to not be using Allegiant for Reno/Tahoe this year just paying for his airfare would be an option if they won't comp or discount his flight. It's was great your daughter was able to go enjoy all the snow with her mom.
These are the confirmed dates she gave me for Tahoe going out of LAX:

Here are the dates for Lake Tahoe
LAX - Reno Airport
March 11-13
April 8-10
May 6-8

They have had an amazing time! I sent my best friend, since my daughter needed someone to do the double black diamonds (or whatever they call them) with her.

FWIW, they were booked on the direct flight on WN (Southwest) BOS-RNO-BOS (no change of planes, but a brief stop in Denver). The airfare (group tickets) from Harrah's were over $550+ per ticket (President's Weekend), my daughters ticket cost me just shy of $600 roundtrip.

I think it's probably hard to fill an entire charter flight from Boston; so the 'group space' on WN makes sense for Harrah's.

Also, my wife is Total Rewards Gold.
baccarac_guy how was seating assigned for your wife and daughters flights? Should I make a request through the Harrahs Northern Nevada Air staff for an aisle seat?

mare I got an offer for a June 10-12 to Reno/Tahoe which works with my time off. My son decided not to go so I didn't check with the contact person you provided.
