Help on Choosing Hotel

I am headed to Vegas in mid October on an offer for some of those extra gift points. Normally, I would stay at Caesers, Paris or Planet Hollywood but none of these hotels are part of the offer. So, I have to choose between Ballys, Flamingo, Imperial Palace, Harrahs and Rio.

I won't have access to a car so my last choice would be Rio just because I like the option of roaming around a few other casinos. And, I have heard some pretty spotty reports about some of these hotels. Which one would you choose and why? I have stayed at Rio but none of the other four.

I have stayed at Ballys many times and I have no complaints. I like the casino and the easy access to Paris and a short outside walk to PH. I akso like the assortment of "MY" games available.

I have never stayed at IP, Harrahs or Rio. I did stay at Flamingo and it was decent enough.

Bally's, the rooms are a little dated but clean. Bally's is connected to the Paris, which I believe you said is one of the places you like to stay at. Every time I have stayed at Bally's I have always had a positive experience with the staff.

I always stay at Harrah's. I like the layout of the casino and the proximity to some other casinos that I like to visit. I get a deluxe room and it is always clean. I prefer Harrah's buffet in comparison to the choices you have left. I could continue to list my likes of Harrah's but it is your choice. Good luck!

Bally's is the only choice of those 4. Great Location and great service. IP and Rio are really old and tired. Not a big fan or Harrah's due to the congestion out front... it's tough to move in either direction out on the strip

Ask for a North Tower room at Ballys

Another vote for the North Tower at Ballys. The rooms are large, nice and good location relative to the casino and front desk. A bit setback from the Strip, but good location.

Harrahs is my second choice. Rooms are kept fresh (remodeled) but are a bit small (old Holiday Inn). Fun place to gamble and good service.

I agree the rooms at Ballys are nicer but the rooms at Harrahs are clean. I stay at Harrahs due to how quick I can get around. I stay in the Carnaval Tower which the elevators drop down to Starbuck's on the second and first floor. Also the monorail is right there as well as the Valet. I also like the Carnaval Court for free entertainment outside as well as another Starbucks! It's easy to get to Casino Royale and use my monthly free play there as well as go to the Mirage, Treasure Island and a Duece Bus Stop outside.

the good wife and i only stay at harrah,s. we find everything from value to convienience here. stay here once and you will be back all the time big thumbs up for harrahs. cheers'''' from canada
