hints for good harrahs rooms

I've never stayed at harrahs, so I have no idea what to ask for...high floor, which tower (if there are more than one), near elevators, view, etc. we have reservations feb. 5-8. my dad is a platinum, but other two rooms are just gold--total cost for three rooms for three days is about $100. should we check in with my dad (in the VIP line) and try to get better rooms? Any hints would be very appreciated!!

I would check in together. Smile and politely ask if they have any complimentary upgrades.
If they're completely booked or if there are lots of high level players on property, it might be difficult to get a complimentary upgrade.

I'd ask for a room away from the Carnival Court.
