Horsehoe Cleveland - Play to park Qs

I'm planning a trip to Cleveland soon, and I read this page from the Horseshoe. The instructions seem straightforward enough, but I have one question for you HC veterans out there - how serious are they about the 30 minute minimum? I could get my 15 points much faster than 30 minutes. Are they going to deny me a ticket if I earn the points but don't have the time on machine? It seems a shame to have to wait just to kill time.

Thanks in advance for your help!
I expect that it would be very strict since it's an automated process at a kiosk. A host may be able to help you, but by the time you get that done you'd be at your 30 minutes.

I would suggest putting another card in the machine next to you. As long as you play that one enough to keep it active it should double your time.
We've gone a few times and always got the free parking, but stayed longer than 30 min. My understanding is that once you get the 15 tier credits, you can get the free parking coupon. It's all automated through the kiosks close to the entrances on the first floor. Just swipe your card at the kiosk and it will tell you if you are eligible for free parking or not. If not, it will tell you how much more is needed for free parking. The kiosk will then spit out your coupon which states that you get free parking. You just give the coupon to the parking lot attendant upon exiting. The coupon is good at either the Horseshoe garage or the Horseshoe surface lot on West 3 & Superior. They both have large signs that say Horseshoe Casino self park with the horseshoe pic on it. Don't park anywhere else because they aren't casino lots and parking isn't free. we like the surface lot better as not crowded. No wait to get out.
If you are participating in "The Great Race," I'm pretty sure you need 25 points.

You must go to the TotalRewards desk at Horseshoe Cleveland to have them swipe your card for the Great Race. No kiosks for the Race. I asked them. TotalRewards desk is open 24/7
Great race yes, 25points and must have card swiped. not sure on parking. I can tell you there was a sign saying valet parking was $30.00 free for diamond and 7 stars
I was back up there last Thursday and the valet parking was free for 7*, Diamond AND Platinum. I don't recall seeing free for Plat before. Not sure it that is just a weekday thing but passing it along in case it's helpful.

Have fun getting ripped off. There was an article in the local paper 2weeks ago about how tight the machines are at this casino(88% return versus 94% in Vegas). I guess this is what happens when you give somebody a constitutional (state constitution) monopoly. As those of us that live here say, ONLY OHIO COULD &*#& THIS UP.
