The first post was one of Patricia's more legible posts actually.......

OK, y'all, enough about Patricia's typing.

My guess is one of two possiblities: 1) English is a second language for Patricia; or 2) she suffers some condition that makes it difficult to type sometimes, maybe medication.

I'm guessing #1.

Patricia, thanks for the second post in your effort to clear things up.  Better punctuation and spacing would help.

I stayed there once, long before it was Cromwell.  It was Barbary Coast then, that long ago.  I did visit the casino fairly recently, which is still very small, but some prefer that.

The one positive to me is that it is easy to get around.  Elevators from the rooms opened right into the casino.  Also easy to enter and leave from the front door.

Beware, the rooms are/were large but the bathrooms are/were VERY small.  The one I had was literally tiny, barely enough space to turn around in.  So if you need a larger bathroom do specify that ahead of time, at least at check-in.

Good luck!

Pstricia, I'm sorry you got unhelpful responses. We have a few mean-spirited people who often make pointless, hostile comments.

To actually answer your question, the Cromwell is small and easy to get around. I can't speak for the restaurants, but you're right there on the busiest corner in Vegas, so you have a lot of options for dining and gambling. Unlike some of the larger hotels, you can be out of your room and walking on the Strip in a couple of minutes.

The Flamingo bus stops right outside the Cromwell's entrance, so you can take it across the freeway to the Palms, Gold Coast, or Rio. The Strip bus (the "Deuce") stops right in front as well.

The gambling is typical Strip--not so great. But the best reason to stay there is to use it as an easy home base to explore Vegas.

I haven't been to the Horseshoe since it was Bally's, but many reports I've read say it's nothing special--they haven't changed or upgraded it much at all. About the only new feature is the poker room. And the vendors--unfortunately, they're all over the Strip. No avoiding them.

Thanks Kevin for kindness

            English not a second language

or am I on medication.

            I thought discussions on forum

for fun. Not a grammar lesson.

I will try and be more clear for

those who find pleasure in criticizing.

? Why does it say blocked next to my name?
