How are rooms at Bills Gambling hall in LV?

for nights I want to stay, only classic and deluxe rooms available. How are these rooms?. Just looking for a clean place with decent service on the strip for not a lot of money. This is for a friend bringing his 85 year old inlaws from out of town to see the strip.
Rooms are nice. Nothing fantastic, but they look better than the ones at Bally's/Harrahs in my opinion.

Try to request one facing the Bellagio Fountains.
I was very pleased with my stay there.
Thanks, sounds like Bill's will be perfect. Are there any hidden fees, such as a resort fee?
They won't be spending much time in the casino, but how is the smoke factor if you're walking through to get to the strip?

Bills, as part of the Caesars empire, does not charge resort fees. The casino is small, and I have found with most small casinos that the smokiness factor is higher than average, although not a deal-breaker for the 30 seconds you have to walk through the smoke to get to the hotel.

A plus is no long walk to elevators or front desk.
Stayed there years ago when it was Barbary Coast.
Our room was huge, four poster bed, decor somewhere between Victorian and Long Branch Saloon, brass and flowers.
Just fine if they aren't stuck on modern.
Bathroom was tiny...shower only, no tub.
But then again, they may have remodeled.
The inlaws should get a kick out of Big Elvis.
We had a room there last year. Didn't use the room other than for a break during the day but was impressed with it for a smaller property.

I stayed there once years ago.

It was the Barbary Coast then.

Check-in took about 30 seconds.

Elevator was about 9 steps away.

Room reminded me of the Orleans.

Soundproofing was 0.

Every time someone walked by in the hallway
it sounded like they were in the room.

Rooms facing the street are very noisy but have a view.

I liked the place before Harrah's.

I stayed there while attending a convention at Caesars in 2009. As I recall the room were actually decent. Dark wood furniture and Victorian styled rooms. The price was $40/ night and for the 4 night stay ($160), it was less than one night convention rate at Caesars ($169). The walk to Caesar's convention area was 10 to 15 minutes tops. Other side benefits to staying at Bill's include a free shuttle to the Gold Coast and The Orleans, free access to the Flamingo Hotel pools and free parking. By the way the Gold Coast has a really good Chinese Restaurant (Ping Pang Pong), corny name but excellent Cantonese dishes.

We loved the rooms when Bill's was the Barbary Coast. I think it would be okay for the inlaws. Easier to navigate then the big places.

Ping, Pang and Pong are characters in Giacomo Puccini's opera Turandot (i.e., Nessun Dorma, etc.), which is set in Peking. It was Puccini's last opera (he died before it was completed). The premiere in 1926 was conducted at La Scala by Arturo Toscanini. It is my favorite opera. Saw it live in Houston many years ago (Eva Marton).

I have no idea if the Gold Coast restaurant was named for this. I have often wondered about it.
