So the hubby and I decided last minute to drive up on Saturday and take advantage of a little free play we had. I went ahead and booked a room just in case we drank too much and didn't want to drive home.
We got there and stupid me had actually booked Sunday night, but they were able to find us a room in the new tower (12048). I like any of the rooms ending in 48 in north tower. They're a a little bigger than the other rooms since they're next to the emergency stairwell and noise is limited since there's only 1 room next to you.
We went downstairs and started with a little quarter video poker at the Fiore's bar. Hubby ran through his $20 pretty quickly. I started with $25 and was up/down, cashed out around $22 and gave hubby the ticket. I downloaded another $25 and didn't hit anything so we moved on playing various slots with no big wins.
We finally ran out of freeplay and started using our own cash. I wanted to play a slot I'd hit on during another trip, it has something to dow with Tarot cards. I put in my money and a couple of times accidentally hit the max bet button ($5), well lucky me ended up in the bonus round and and hit addtional spins. After everything was said and done I'd won $800!
Hubby went off to play LIR and I played some $ triple play poker and hit a couple of 4oaks, cashing out around $400. Played Gorilla Chief and won another couple hundred, then to on an older game with trains and box cars in the bonus round, hit that for $250.
Hubby started with $200 at LIR and played for a few hours finally cashing out with $65. On the way to the cash cage he passed the roulette table and decided to play the 2 $25 chips and ended up hitting one of his numbers and won $400.
By this time I was pretty much done, so we went up to the room and were in bed around 9...I'm getting old!
Around 9:10 my cell rang and I didn't pick up because I didn't know the number. After a few minutes I looked at my phone and noticed I had a voicemail. It was from my host informing me they had called my name for a drawing, $500 cash, and I only had 45 minutes from 9 pm to pick it up. Thank God I checked my voicemail!!
So we get up, get dressed (no makeup for me...yikes!) and go collect our cash. I couldn't believe I'd actually won something in a drawing, lol.
Got up early and left around 9 am after playing and not winning with our Sunday freeplay.
All in all a very winning trip, which we haven't had in a long, long time. It sure did feel good depositing all that cash today!
