I WAS ROBBED WHILE IN THE ROOM!!!

I WAS ROBBED WHILE IN THE ROOM!!! Caesars Entertainment They have still
not explained or cooperated to help with an investigation!!! Here's the
latest letter I sent to them...

CCMSI - Caesars Entertainment Incident DL20140545435
Las Vegas NV Metro Case LLV140318002623
5-6-2014

To whom it may concern,

I am writing this in regards to a stay we had at the Quad Resort on
3-18-2014. Our locked room was entered that night while we slept. Suitcase
and many other items were taken, all which can be replaced.

The real issue here is that someone must have had a Master key to get past
the lock. This is a scary fact the more you think about it.

Security took a report, I filed a police report and they asked if there was
any video surveillance. Well I called and have asked that 4 different times
with no answer to this day. Do you really care about getting my stuff back?

I was sent a letter from CCMSI, called as requested to Barbara Humphries, I
was told that an adjuster would call me within 48 hours. A week later I
called back that they still hadn't called. Barbara said that rarely happens
and that they would be in touch in a day or two. I did get a call finally
and was asked the same questions as security had reported and was told they
would send a letter in a week.

Well it had been at least a month so I called 4-30 to Barbara again, she
forwarded the call and I left a message. As of 5-5 still no call back, so I
left a message where we started with the Quad risk management and of course
RT Germain passed it on to Michelle Stackland which has not gotten back to
me. What's new...

You know the personal property that we lost is not the problem, it's the way
you have gone about handling a bad situation. No explanations, no help,
nothing but avoiding and passing the problem on.

I've been a Diamond card player at Harrah's for well over 10 years
consecutively and will certainly not attempt to play at any affiliated place
very much in the future. I deserve to know how they got in the room, was
there video and what was done to try and mitigate the problem.

You have definitely lost a long time customer and I have already told
friends and associates' what happen in Vegas and how it's been handled.

Obviously you don't care!

Was there a dead bolt on the door ? Bob

I'm curious as to why you waited till May 6th to inform CET about a incident that took place March 18th??

Or maybe you have copies of your earlier correspondence to C E T that you would like to share with us!

Sorry to hear about that.

Would make a good NCIS episode.

I wish I could sleep so soundly.
The report was filed that day both numbers are on my email. They have after 2 months not responded, passing it on to another person. All locks were used, I've seen it bypassed easily before by employees...

I guess I'm not the only one this happened to... Check this travel advisor link

BTW Travel Advisor refused to post my review due to Ceasars Advertising on there site! Wow!!! Yelp did the same took it down after a day, unbiased, yea right! LOL

There was a photo of a report on the Caesars Facebook page a couple days ago with a similar incident that they have not resolved or cooperated on but Ceasars must of taken it down, it's not on there today... Typical, at this point...

Take it to small claims court if you want reimbursement. You have a police report. But don't most hotels have a disclaimer about losses?

They probably aren't going to give you details of their findings. Like when a credit card gets compromised. They notify you, but they don't give details on who and how, other than that an "unauthorized purchase at Shoe Carnival in Timbuktu" was made. Probably some legality or something. Or they consider it proprietary information. They don't advertise details of their security operations.

It would be nice to at least receive a letter of acknowledgement for your inconvenience.
I really don't care about the loss at all, my issue here is why they can ignore this happened so easily! I want to know how someone got into the room and what they are doing about it to mitigate it happening again!!!

They have just handled this as poorly as anyone could imagine...

Funny you mention credit card companies keep info tight. But I had a case that my cards were stolen, they released exact times and dates used to me. I was able to call Chevron and 7-11 and get them to look up to see if there was video and there was which I in turn gave the information to the police and they were able to track down and recover my brief case. This type of info is critical to know, who's going to make the calls if not the victim, the police are too busy for that!

Clearly you aren't getting the response you want from Harrah's.

My suggestion to take it small claims is actually more to get attention to what you want, since this is clearly eating you up. They can't ignore a court summons. Even though you say the losses aren't significant (which could have contributed to your inquiry being put on the back burner), to take someone to small claims you need to "claim" a tangible dollar amount loss. Just wanting information/explanation probably won't qualify. Even if you don't recover, someone in the CET system will have to communicate with you. That's all.
How frustrating! Especially when you know they could easily ID the thief. If the crime had been against them you know that swift action would have been taken.
