Imperial Palace

Never stayed here, It was the only comp room I could get it this trip.
My questions are,
What kind of room do I want to ask for at check in? Is there a room type or tower I want to avoid? I am Diamond so an upgrade is possible. Also, Does IP have a diamond lounge?

No diamond lounge at IP. But Caesars, Harrahs and Flamingo have them. There is a separate Diamond check in line. IP is old and tired and needs being redone with the Linq. Avoid anything where construction/destruction is near because of noise. If noise bothers you, ask to move.
I actually like IP as it is close to the other properties and poker room staff/dealers are friendly. Not staying there during the September trip though as noise was pretty bad even in the casino.

Ask for at least a King Suite and as was mentioned, try to stay away from the construction. As a Diamond you ought to be able to get the penthouse at IP LOL!
