Is Diamond in a Day worth it?

A local Caesar's owned casino has 9 to 6 JOB from quarters to dollars, strangely the $5 machines are 9 to 5, and was wondering if it's worth going for Diamond in a Day. I have the bankroll to play $1 JOB so by my calculations the $30,000 coin in translates to $150 in negative EV and a day's worth of play.

I usually go to Vegas or Reno about twice a year so I was wondering what type of room offers jumping to diamond from basically nothing would generate, or if there's a better place in vegas to do this sort of play? Room offers from a local casino aren't worth that much to me.
Personally, I'd wait until Jan to give them this much play. Earning diamond in Jan 2014 gives you diamond status through March 31, 2015. Since offers are usually based on daily average, I'd play at the location I want to receive offers from.
Thanks for the info, reconsidering the issue it makes more sense to wait for a vegas trip before putting in that type of play. The only thing that complicates the issue is that I've had my best gambling year ever and was thinking to of converting some losses into future comps to relieve my tax burden. Anyway, I have a vegas trip scheduled in December so I could just do DIAD then.
DIAD is $50K on Video Poker now. Better yet do 2 days of 25K and get full diamond status.

Did I read somewhere that earning DIAD expires early?? Like December? Most people try to get it early, then get the rest of the points throughout the year.
