Just switched from Quad to Flamingo (Fab-deluxe) good move??

A couple of months ago I checked my CET offers for March 22-31st. I discovered that the only properties that were giving me 5 days were the Rio, Harrahs and I. P. (now Quad). At the suggestion of a fellow LVA'er I took the Quad since they, fellow LVA'er, stated that the rooms were being remodeled.

Since then I have not been able to confirm that the remodeling of the Quad rooms was actually part of their face lift. Yesterday I checked my TR and saw that Flamingo (Fab Go or Deluxe room) and Ballys (South Tower) were now being equally as generous (comped 5 days - from Sun-Fri). I quickly cancelled my QUAD res. and took Flamingo (Fab Deluxe).

I've never stayed in a Go room before but the reviews of that compared to a Ballys South Tower room (I've only stayed in the north tower before) seemed to indicate that yours truly would like the FAB.

LVA'er's ...did I make a good move??? Any suggestions on how to make it better?? (i.e rooms/floors to avoid??)

Thanks Lisa. Very Informative. DBuehler is actually meeting my LIL Sis (FFlowers) in Vegas this week! It appears that between the "Go" room and the "Deluxe" room that the deluxe room works out better. Which room did you stay in??

I ended up not staying there - had to cancel the trip. From what I've read, I'd much rather stay in a FAB Deluxe room at Flamingo than a Deluxe room at IP/Quad.

I stayed one night IP in october. Never again. I would rather sleep in the car.

The rooms at IP/Quad are not being remodeled at this time. Possible a year or more down the road.

Hey Champster...missed you guys this trip! I think you are much better with a FAB than the Quad, you will like it just fine. I've seen a few posts lately of poor housekeeping at the quad (although admittedly we seem to post negatives more quickly than positives) and the housekeeping in the Flamingo rooms is just wonderful.
