LINQ Rooms/Hotel

Hello,

My son will be attending a real estate convention in May and access to the monorail to the Convention Center is important.

Considering The LINQ as place to stay...have seen all of the upgrades to casino and amenities around, and likes what he saw, but concerned about the renovations to the rooms and hotel common areas, IP was a bit downtrodden.

Has anyone stayed or seen what has been done to the Rooms/Hotel and can anyone offer any first hand accounts of the new LINQ to aid in his decision?? He has stayed at Paris, Caesars, IP, Flamingo, Bally's, and Harrah's so he knows his way around...just looking for LINQ info.

Thanks!!
Have you searched Jon's (Sionow) trip reports? I believe he posted photos of his room.
He should request "a renovated room" at check-in.
Can't hurt and might help. Always ask.
The renovated look very nice, but are smallish. I guess he has to decide if that suits him, depending how much time he actually spends in the room.

I am staying there in a week. I was concerned because last time the room was so bad I checked out because they weren't maintaining rooms while they did renovations. The explanation was they would eventually renovate them all. They told me they are only using renovated rooms now but still have some construction going on during the day. I also asked about coffeemaker as wondered if they decided to add keurigs with their new image. Was told they had done that but only in the suites. That is disappointing as I always had a coffeemaker there.
How can I search his reports, I am not familiar...?

Thanks.
In comparison to rooms of familiarity, the LINQ Deluxe King is a 310 sf room where the Paris rooms are 360 sf...for what 50 sf is worth on that comparison scale.

Also, from his further research, it would behoove anyone wishing to stay at LINQ to request the High Roller or Stripview, otherwise you will be in one of the in-fill rooms overlooking the Carnival Court or Brooklyn Bowl.

Would still like to hear a first-hand account from someone who was there...so please keep the replies coming!

Thanks.
Will check in next Thursday and give anyone who is interested an update.

Hear is how you can find one of Jon's Trip Reports describing his Linq experience.

Scroll back to top of this thread, click the "search" link, above right.
You get the Search section, which on my computer is very faint.
In the AUTHOR box, type Sionow
From the Topic drop-down box click Trip Reports.
Click SEARCH.
You will see a list of Sionow's Trip Reports.
Click on "My Farewell Year - Chapter 2"
Scroll down some, where he describes his Linq experience, with photos.

Don't try to enter dates or key words in that Search section. Doesn't work.
Just do the steps as I said (I sound like a mommy here...just do as I said...ha ha).

Candy, you are a wealth of information. Videos, hopefully the link will work, https://www.lasvegasadvisor.com/forum/messageview.cfm?catid=9&threadid=324876
