Little tardy in my comments. When we get to Vegas it is always "hit the ground running".
It is not your grandma's IP or your Dad's Quad anymore. Even elevators are faster. They have spent a lot to improve the rooms and even the hallways. The hallways are a little dark because of the colors though. Walking into the room I was a little disappointed as it seemed very small. Had always had a suite before, but they are supposedly working on those. The balconies are gone, so that eliminates all the pigeons. The balcony door is now just a floor to ceiling window. Room has safe and refrigerator and when I checked in I asked for a coffeemaker and they put a Keurig in my room. The bathroom is small, one person at a time. Flat screen tv on the wall with lots of info available on it using the remote (airline info, weather, room service, etc) One surprise is that there is no clock in the room. TV can be set as an alarm clock if you want. After spending a couple of days/nights in the room it is not really too small. Two chairs, a desk area, and a small table. Four little drawers for clothing, some shelves and closet with no door. The have a sliding door with a mirror for the bathroom door which saves space. Bathroom floor and walls are all marble. Plenty of electric and usb outlets for cell phones, tablets and lap tops. Have one king size bed and imho two beds in a room this size might seem crowded. Pics of the room on their website are fairly accurate view of the rooms though. They are still doing some construction but casino is basically done. Poker room is gone as are dealertainers. Diamond check-in opens at 8am has small sitting area with Keurig, water and soda if you want to get away from casino noise. This trip was a test and am very pleased that we came back. We have always liked the friendliness of the employees here as they are eager to please. I had forgotten my sunglasses in the limo on the ride from the airport and I got a call on my cell from check in folks to tell me. Our last stay here while they were doing remodel was so bad that I expected to never return. We have been staying at Ballys in the Jubilee tower on all of our trips since then and had a fantastic room every time there. The difference though is the personal service. Both my wife and I are called by our names by the employees at the Linq, be they the cocktail waitresses, the dealers, or any employee. We are not whales but their courtesy makes us feel like we are. Based on the time of day the cocktail waitresses already remember what we like to drink, be it coffee, a screwdriver, a bloody mary, our preferred brand of vodka, a water or a hot chocolate. We already have reservations at Ballys or several trips through the end of the year and now may need to reconsider changing them to the Linq.
This is lengthy but hopefully informative.
