My Take on the New Total Rewards Tier System

I love the level II and III diamonds. Done right you could get to level III with around $275K of action. For this the free airfare and improve free play rate seems like a good deal. I know a lot of people poo-poo the 4 nights anywhere but that is of big value to me. I only play Non-Vegas CET and when I stay in Vegas stiff them. Basically that means I can't get rooms in Vegas but can everywhere else. Now I stay in Vegas again

Is this information posted anywhere? I won't be at my "home base" where my CET mail is sent for a couple of weeks and am anxious to learn more about the benefits you describe above, especially as I'm in trip planning mode - just having returned from Vegas/see DBueler's TR though I will write one too! -- for a possible trip in April and a definite trip for my birthday in August. Based on the TCs I earned last year it sounds like I might be Level III.
I got a little brochure in the snail mail, regarding all the changes, etc.

I get very little snail mail from Harrahs, so I'm guessing most folks will get this, eventually.

I received this, a few days ago.
I know we will probably play less. We will stop at 1,000 points, rather than play the usual 1,350 to 1,500 we usually play in one calendar day. Just 8 days like that, and we're Diamond again. If we're not doing well, then a 500-point day is okay, too. Make adjustments, and keep track.

The same goes for Platinum. 8 days of 500 points.

Why go over? See a show, have drink in the Diamond lounge, go up to the room and watch Downton Abbey. Take a break.

Does anyone know if when in vegas will it be cumulative at all casinos, or you have to play in just one casino to get the extra points?

You can earn your points at any and all CET casinos in Vegas durning the 24hr period.

Here's the webpage.

thanks for the link.
Look at the examples they show under Tier Credit Bonuses. Am I a total idiot or is what they show a complete screw up on how to move up in levels?

I'm thinking the Tier 2 Diamond has some merit. Who needs a place to live in Chicago when I can have Harrahs Joliet as a new home?

Wonder how long you can stiff them before you become uninvited?

Well, for me Tier II, for 4 free nights for 2.7 times the tier (40,000) is unreasonable for me, Tier III for 4 free nights and up to $750 in airfare, airport transportation, lucrative rate for RC's for redemtion, and waived check cashing/credit card advances for twice the tier(80,000) from level II, ouch. But I guess it's different for all of us. Still waiting to see what the AC diamond lounge change may be!! (As Jman said!)

One thing from my wifes mailer received today that I'm wondering about, listed as a new benefit;
"preferred free play redemtion", what up with that?
My play in Atlantic City is all CET. Mostly Showboat and Bally's. My normal stay is 2 nights and I, usually, arrive pretty early the 1st day. I am a .25 and .50 (occasionally) VP player and I average a little over 2,000 points per trip. Last year, I had around 14,000 points for the year.

I probably haven't been getting 1,000 points on my 1st day, but probably always do on my 2nd day (unless I am getting slammed and take a long afternoon break). The thing that bothers me is what happens when I am ready to call it a day and am only 100-150 points short of my 1000 for the day. Most likely, I will continue to play and, thus, put more money at risk.

Now that I think about it, I could probably continue playing exactly the same as in the past and still get enough bonuses during the year to maintain the minimum Diamond level. I just hope they don't take anything else away from us.

By the way, the $10.00 Diamond Club charge is one of the best things they have done in AC. It got the deadbeats out of the lounge and did away with the lines. I make the lounge my lunch stop rather than going to a restaurant, as the buffet in AC is ample for a decent lunch. Showboat also makes fantastic soups which I always have (unless it's a fish soup).

Diamond for at least 1 more year.
I will be playing heavy at Ballys on Sat. I think 1,000 tier should be fairly easy, but that 1,000-2,500
threshold could get expensive.
Having 2 heavy play days in a YEAR, should be fairly easy if you are 25c. multiline player.
Thinking about throwing in some Slot play too for easy points.

Anyway, will be interesting to see how it goes...........
