Need Hooters feedback

I'm heading to Vegas in June for my birthday trip and received an offer from Orbitz; 5 nights at Hooters for under $140. Took the offer, but am worried about reviews I've seen on TripAdvisor. Has anyone been to Hooters lately? I'd just like to know if I need to pack my brass knuckles; an older woman can't be too careful!

Well...I didn't notice any safety issues the one time I visited Hooters.
Didn't see the rooms...didn't want to.

Low rent, nothing fancy there; a non-happening casino, but the folks around the pool were kicking back and enjoying themselves, nobody to have to impress.

You got a good price and you are within spittin' distance to the Tropicana and MGM.

Have low expectations and you might be OK.
If you can do a little better for a little more money, do so.
Look up the Trop...would be a much better play if cost is in the ballpark.

yea, it's nonrefundable. I decided to get a monorail ticket as stations start at MGM right across the street. Might get a city bus pass to so I can go downtown. Couldn't beat the price, especially since it's Friday through Tuesday. We'll see how it goes.

I actually like their casino quite a bit despite many negative reviews. I considered staying at the hotel until I saw the YouTube video of the guy who lifted up his bed covers to reveal a swarm of bed bugs. The casino did not offer him a new room either.

Our own Sinow stayed there and took photos of the room--- looked faux tropical.. think cheap miami beach cira 1967- plain almost Amish barren but Vegas is not about staying in your room-- safety is NOT an issue and that seems your biggest concern--

I like Hooters. Can't comment on the hotel though.

You will be fine there. It's a pretty open in all areas. Enjoy it.

thanks everyone for the replies....I agree I probably won't spend much time in the room except to sleep and I can always pack Lysol!
