Interesting that William Hill will operate the sports book. Treasure Island's sports book is an independent book, not affiliated/run/owned by an outsider.
CC is not the most glamourous place on the strip but they keep that place crowded....something their neighbors struggle with. Ruffin better be careful. If he’s going to try and make CC a higher end resort it could go the way of Sahara.
On my first trip to LV in 1991, I stayed next door at the old "Westward Ho." That Circus Circus area (along with the original Mirage property) are the only areas of the strip that look like they did in the summer of '91. So many memories of that area...being 21 in Vegas was so much fun back then!
I thought it was the best thing in the world to be able to walk past a police officer on the street with an open beer in my hand. We could easily run across LV Boulevard (just a simple 4 lanes with a grass/tree median in the middle back then) and sneak into the Riviera's pool.
Vegas was gritty in those days, but much looser (gambling, attitude, etc.) and cheaper! It was truly an "adult's playground" back then.
Even though I haven't been in a few years, let's hope they don't screw up the steakhouse. One of the best in Vegas.
