New Visa Card

I had the Victoria's Secret card with this bank. I stopped using it when they said there would be a $1.00 charge to mail me my statement. If I printed it online, then there was no charge. None of my other cards do that, so I put it away and have never used it since.

I have also heard that they have the HSN (Home Shopping Network) card, but I don't have that card.

I will probably get the TR card just to get the points and the buffets, but otherwise I don't see any reason to use it.

I would also like to know if we can use the buffet coupon on weekends or for Caesars, and pay the surcharge in points.

I put him on my card. We have the same account. The 2 coupons came with the 2 cards. When I read the coupon, each one for was for 2 buffets. Sweet deal!

Well that's probably what I should have done. They said they would let me know in ten days. I wanted my own card. My Friend put her Husband on hers and only got one Buffet. Does he also get Platinum ?

The upgrade for caesers is $15 for breakfast, $20 for lunch and $25 for dinner.

I will probably get the card when I know my next Vegas trip is within 6 months. I will do what nemesis says by charging $750, paying in full, and gaining the $100 value of the buffet coupon for two and the 10,000 reward credits. My offer says do it by June 15th but I am guessing the promotion will live beyond that date. We live in Indy so we only occasionally go to a Caesar's property. We like to eat at Binion's steakhouse at Horseshoe SI and this Summer we plan on hitting Cincinnati and Cleveland (with a checkout of the new casino in Columbus-not a Caesar's property) on a road trip. Hoping for another rewards program like last Summer. Anyhow those 10,000 credits will get us a nice dinner for two at a nice Caesar's restaurant. Why not? If the offer proves to be good and if it lives on my wife will also apply and we will do the deal all over again. Other than an inquiry on the credit reports I see no downside.

if you go to grocery store with your new total rewards visa and buy gift cards you will get double the reward credits, I went to Safeway and bought $3000 in Lowes gift cards, which also got me a dollar off a gallon of gas the next 12 times I fill up at safeway. So instead of earning just 3000 reward credits I earned 6000

I'm not sure if both card holders get Platinum. Since we play off the same card, it doesn't really matter as far as points go. We're going to Harrah's Rincon in a couple weeks and I'll let you know.

Donutman, I think that is a GREAT idea!! I hadn't thought about buying the gift cards being an extra bonus!!! We do that here to get a gas discount thru Giant Eagle. Now this card will make it twice as nice! Thanks for the tip!

I signed up for the card and got an email from Harrah's 2 days later saying I had been upgraded to Platinum. I signed up separately from my husband (we play on his card which is diamond) but my card was only gold. I only use my card for the Great Race credits and other RC promotions. Seems to be a good deal with 2 x credits for airlines, gas and grocery. We always pay off each month so interest rate doesn't really apply. I just hope we don't run into problems with billing issues that were outlined in previous post about Comenity Bank cards. For 2 free Buffet of Buffets each and 200.00 in RC between the 2 accounts I figure why not try it out.

Great tip donutman but I have an AMEXCO card that gives me back 5% cash on grocery store purchases so the tip would not work for me. I will put the minimum $750 on the card to get the 10K reward credits and probably never use it again.
