New Visa Card

I believe I read that it is Sun - Thurs only. I can't remember where I read it though.
I found where it mentioned Mon-Thur. It's on the credit card info home page.

"5 "Buffet of Buffets" pass is valid for six months from the time the credit card is issued. The retail price for a "Buffet of Buffets" pass for two Total Rewards members midweek is $99.98. Subject to blackout dates and surcharge for Bacchanal Buffet at Caesars Palace and Village Seafood Restaurant at the Rio. Applicable to the primary cardholder only. Nontransferable."

That does imply it's weekdays only, but doesn't say anything about not available on weekends or available for an extra charge on weekends. There is nothing on the actual coupon that says that. It only mentions the additional charge for Bacchanal and Village Seasfood.

BTW: I'm still Gold, but I was only approved on 4/4/13 and they said it would be about 30 days.
The bad things about this bank I think are the following:

There is no website on the card to tell you how to track your card activity online. The website is for TR. Nothing in the docs with the card how to get to the website.

When you go to Comenity.net it asks you what card you have to get to the website for that card. However it does not know about the TR Visa card. It says nothing matches that description...

I called them and they said because it is so new the bank website does not know about the TR card....Duh. I said it sounds like a scam...how stupid is that.

Then when I was finally given the link to get to my account, you cannot set up an autopay for this account.

You need to log in and manually pay your bill every month by clicking pay my bill. All the credit cards I have let me automatically set up the payment each month for minimum payment due, or entire balance etc. so I do not need to sign on and do it each month.

I called Ceasar's and asked them who picked this bank for their card...

The said they spent a lot of money in research to find the right bank. I told them they missed the boat on this one in my opinion.

I only received one cert for the buffet of buffets. Someone said they got two I think. We were supposed to get two?

I received nothing yet saying I am Platinum. Regarding that, I asked Ceasar's and the upgrade is only I one shot deal for one year until March 2014 and then us low rollers revert back to gold.

I suggested they make it recurring each year otherwise I would only use the card to keep the points alive if I cannot make it to a Harrahs for 6 months. Other cards give me better benefits...

So far this bank is not doing well at my house. Against my better intuition, I went ahead and applied in hubs name (he would like the tier bennie since I am diamond) on April 3rd. We were not immediately approved via email, instead it said we would have a response within 7-10 days. No response yet and the email I sent them yesterday using the link provided in their response was returned as undeliverable. Not sure why we would be denied since we have an excellent credit rating, but I am beginning to hope that is the case - I don't think I want to deal with this bank.

I have not activated the cards that BoA issued in lieu of the TR card so we have been without a credit card for almost 3 weeks now - I guess I will need to do that soon since our next Vegas trip begins a week from today - way to miss out Cominity and TR!

The new BOA credit card is not that bad really.

I think it is 3% on Gas, 2 % on groceries and 1 % on everything else. I may have the 3 and 2 % reversed.

I only use it for gas and groceries.

Ok, I applied (and was instantly approved) for this card about a month ago. Did not know about the "Platinum" upgrade 'til I read this thread. So naturally, I just logged on, and Viola...there it is. Tier status: PLATINUM! I did receive one buffet of buffet "voucher" for two people. I think it's just an insert and not a valid coupon, but I saved it regardless. I believe you go to the TR desk, where they swipe your card to redeem your two free B-O-B's. They must be redeemed w/in six months of receipt of the card.
So I'm officially Platinum now! My account got switched this afternoon. Took about 2 weeks which isn't that bad really. Haven't received a congratulations email yet. Oh well, at least I can avoid those resort fees next month.
Ditto those reports about platinum status. Assuming I'll have to get a new card in Vegas and they won't mail one to me?
I also had problems creating an account for the Comenity Bank website. You have to type in the store name to be directed properly and nothing came up when I typed Total Rewards.

So, I left a comment stating I didn't know how to log on. Of course, I received the message they would respond during business hours. Well, wouldn't you believe it, they emailed me back about an hour later with the link. (It's comenity.net/TotalRewardsVisa for those who are interested)

I've already logged on, made a payment since I've already made a charge to get my rewards points but want to keep it at zero as much as possible. It's true I didn't see an auto-payment, but that doesn't both me much.

We'll continue to follow what happens...

We are headed for Vegas today so I will report back on how the Buffet of Buffet thing works. Can't wait to get there.
