I would be surprised if they let you bring a cooler into the pool area.
We have brought coffee or water in with us before (one serving each) without incident. I'm not sure about a cooler...
For sure they wont let anything in a glass container in there....so bottled beer, wine, and glass bottle hard liquor is out of the question.
I've seen some places allow coolers but I dont know about MGM specifically. I suspect if they have a bar by the pool then they would stop you from bringing in your own beverages....for the same reason a movie theatre does.
I saw some college types briging what looked like orange Gatorade (in the gatorade bottle) to the pool, however it wasn't Gatorade it was screwdrivers.
Might call them and verify the pool us open. Recently heard it was closed.
