When did they start charging on comped rooms? Maybe recently? We haven't stayed at Red Rock since August, but I've never been charged a resort fee. I always print the page out that says "no resort fee" on the reservation, but I've never seen or been told a resort fee was on my bill to even get to use it to dispute.

To clarify the "rip off- resort fee" question concerning comped rooms and the "not waved" $25 fee at Stations Casinos- I just called Palace Station and spoke with room reservations and they said there was not any "rip off- resort fee" charge for comped rooms. If anyone is still in doubt, call Station Casinos room reservations and check for yourself.
I sent a question to CET and they said yes, comped rooms will pay the fee.
Therefore, CET- yes, you will pay the rip off fee and Stations, you will NOT pay the rip off fee for comped rooms. Any question where I will be staying? How about you?

If theyw ere my only two choices, I think I'd pay $10-15 a night for a CET property over a Stations, but there are plenty of other choices left. For now. When you start paying $400 a night to stay in NYC or $257 a nite to stay in Cork City, $10-$15 a nite isn't all that bad.
I continue to use my free nights elsewhere but in a pinch, its not like I'lll cut my stay short because someone charges me a resort fee on a comped room.
Palace Station is lying to you. I stayed there for two nights in November and my rooms were comped. I was charged a $16.95 resort fee for each night.

Station casinos are notorious for charging the resort fee on comped rooms anyway, even though it is suposed to be waived. You have to call down and get it taken off. And they do it. It happens again and again and again. So be prepared:

If you book online, there is a notice that the resort fee is waived if the room is comped. You should print that page up and bring it with you just in case.

Thanks for the info. I was not aware of that, so I didn't question it. I will point it out next time.

To back up Tony...
A couple of years ago I had a 2 night comp at the Aliante. I printed up the confirmation that stated Resort fee is waived. When I checked in at the Aliante the counter lady handed me my check in slip to sign and on the slip there was a 2 day resort fee. I informed her that there was to be no resort fee. She said that she knew nothing about that. I then produced my copy and she took it into the back...came back out and "waived" my resort fee.

Last year at Green Valley ranch I confirmed as i checked in that there would be no resort fee. The counter lady gladly replied that the resort fee was waived (and I had access to the spa..fitness center etc.etc.)

They'll get you if you let them. Stand firm and it ( the Stations resort fee) is a goner!

You're not that rare, 12 percent of American adults do not have a cell phone.
