Therefore, CET- yes, you will pay the rip off fee and Stations, you will NOT pay the rip off fee for comped rooms. Any question where I will be staying? How about you?

I am diamond at CET, and emailed my host today to ask if I will be charged the resort fees for my comped rooms. Her exact reply- "No you won't. Diamond will not be charged resort fees".
So at least for diamond (not sure about anyone else with comped rooms), there's no resort fee.

Can you ask her about platinum? I've never had a host at any CET property.
I agree we should not have to pay those ridiculous resort fees when you don't use the services they supposedly cover. I think those services should be like an "a la carte" menu. I never use the spas, exercise rooms, and very seldom the pool. If I do want to use the pool or other service charge me a small fee the day I want to use it. Do they not realize the more money they take from me for these fees the less I have to spend elsewhere in their facility?? I've been coming to Vegas every year for the past 12 years, but it looks like my Vegas days may be coming to an end. I'm not going to be nickle & dimed for things I don't use!!!

I read somewhere that they're not charging resort fees on reservations made prior to March 1.

I spoke to them this morning (a reservation agent). They told me that a reservation made prior to March 1 would not include a resort fee.

Also, when I spoke to them last night they told me that the fees would be waived if you had a platinum or diamond card.

I will add that each person seemed very unsure of the answers at first, but supposedly checked with someone else to get the correct answer.

Well thats a lil bit of good news!!
we've stayed at Harrah's A.C. several times a year for many years ,now, and the taxes were the same ,each time, $13 dollars a night.

Amen BV! I will not pay fees for services I do not use and will be staying elsewhere unless these fees are waived on my comp rooms.
