Octavius Tower at Caesars

First, has anyone stayed yet? How was it, if so? Second, I always stay in the Augustus Tower. I'm a Diamond and I wondered about trying to upgrade to Octavius with a phone call prior or perhaps a little cash bonus for the clerk when I register. Any ideas on this?
Thanks!
Hi
We just stayed there, and it was very nice, very similar to the Augustus tower, the only problem for some people might be ,that it is quite a long way to walk from the casino. We just asked, and they called to ask a host.We are Diamond members
definately a long walk to the casino and quite similar to augustus except i think the tub might be bigger in octavius.
Thanks. I think I'll stay with Augustus. These old legs aren't what they used to be. LOL

I stayed in Augustus between Christmas and NYE, my frined was upgraded to Octavius. Gave us the opportunity to go back and forth checking out the different rooms.

Yep, Octavius is quite a haul, long way past the Ausgustus Tower. Rooms very similar to Augustus. Obviously, the furniture was much newer in Octavious, and we were surprised how TALL the new beds were!

Friend loved being the first one in the new room, until all the torubling details started....lots in internet problems, workmen in the room day after day trying to fix it, other stuff that I can't remember now too. All the pains of new rooms.

So while the initial upgrade was exciting, I don't think she would have changed from the Augustus if she had known. Growing pains should surely be worked out by now.

Was that FF?

Main thing I don't like about Octavius, is you have NO View of the Bell. fountains.
If you are on the Bell side, you get Street view & noise, & not much else.
Definately ask for POOL side in Octavius, because the other side ain't much.

I'm also sticking with Augustus, with better Bell fountain view.
We stayed last week in the even # side and had back side view of the fountains if we stood with our faces pressed to the windows ;-) Room 6066 BTW, which I really hesitated to take at first.
Our local tv station in Los Angeles was showing the Octavius tower and it looks nice. They showed a very nice suite that is only for whales. They then talked about the regular rooms in the Octavius Tower. I was confused when they talked about a separate entrance for the Octavius tower, wasn't sure if that was only for the whales suite or for all that tower's rooms. Would one of you who stayed there please clarify this for me?
From what has been said here, I'm glad I opted for the Augustus Tower for my end of March visit.
Yes, that was me CLV but thanks Diane for looking out! Agree with what both of you said. I really wanted a view and the wireless problems were a pain because I had to work while there but I also had six comped nights there so checked myself and decided to appreciate that fact!
I just came back from a stay at Octavius tower. There was a lot of confusion making room charges at other Ceasars Entertainment property as many of them did not know the code for that tower for room charges. I also got tired of walking an extra football field in length compared to rooms in the Augustus tower. Rooms were new and nice but comparable to Augustus.
