Paris/Ballys to Ellis Island

I am looking to use some of my coupons at Ellis Island on my next trip. How far is the walk from Bally's or Paris to Ellis Island? And is the walk safe at night? I have my free drinks and matchplay to use and we would really like to use them along with get the new sign up free play.

thanks for the advice.

From Bally's sports book/snack bar area it is less than 1/2 mile walk. Ellis was running a special that if you took a taxi and brought in the receipt they would reimburse you with free play. In my experience, if you are going to the BBQ you will want to get there early as it fills up as soon as it opens. In the past you could sign up for a table before they opened the BBQ. As to the walk being safe, I've never had a problem, but I don't go there late at night.
Yhere are way more seats in the BBQ now that they have moved it and remodeled it. The poor ribmaster doesn't have to sweat in the summer heat anymore. Everything is done inside.

The waslk isn't bad at all (and I have RA). That being said, I have never walked it in the dark. Flamingo Rd is pretty busy and it is only one block from the strip.

As was said before, go to Bally's, take the escalators down to the sportsbook/foodcourt, and use those doors.

It's maybe a 5 minute walk from Bally's. I've walked it with my wife late at night with no problems. Don't worry about it....the beer is excellent, and (take it from somebody who loves BBQ), the BBQ ribs are the best in Vegas. Even better, they're also cheap....use the 2/1 coupon in the LVA book to make them a steal.

Make sure you get a Plyer's Card so you can get a discount, too.

The Amber beer is my fave, but I've heard many good thing about their egg nog if you like it and happen to be in town near the holidays.

Yes, it's just a 5-minute walk from Bally's sportsbook entrance, and my friend and I walk it all the time day or night, and we're seniors!
The only time the walk seems long is when I forget to hit the ladies room BEFORE we exit Ellis. hee.
Thanks for the info guys. We took a cab from Freemont St. to Ellis Island and used our coupons from LVA. After the free drinks and slot we took the 5 minute walk back to Ballys. Nothing to worry about in the middle of the day and we had zero problems.

note- if you want to use the cab fare (free slot play) please get a printed copy from the cabbie. They will not accept any other form of documents from the car co.
