Park MGM Pool

Hello,

I'm wondering if the Park MGM's pool(s) are open all year.  If they aren't when do they open/close? Also, dose anyone know where I can find pool bar menu(s)?

Thanks in advance.

No casino pools are open all year. They usually open in late April or May, but it's very unlikely that they will open that soon, due to the impossibility of social distancing. There's a good chance they won't open at all.

Edit: I refer to the present; in the past, some pools were open year-round.

Hello mlhewing.  Please find the attached article about Vegas pools which are open year round.  Park MGM is not on the list.

https://lasvegasthenandnow.com/las-vegas-pools-open-year-round/

Park MGM has pool and cabana info on their web site.  Looks like the pool is open now with limited hours and limited capacity.  Cabanas open also.  Good Q&A section about pool/policy on their web site.

I'd forgotten Park MGM opened as smoke free.  Would like to hear TR from there.

Most Strip and other hotels have current pandemic-related open/close information on their web sites.  Restaurants, spa/salon, and pools were at risk intially for remaining closed even after the inital openings after the big shut down.  For example, right now salon services are open while others are notated "currenly closed" or "currently unavailable."  Same with restaurants.  Some open, some still closed.

Best to call to be sure what you want is available when you plan to come.  Things can change quickly.

Candy, thanks for the reminder about Park MGM being smoke-free. That puts it way out in front of other properties as far as I'm concerned.

The two Oregon casinos near me are smoke-free now (I don't know about the others in the state). I dropped in on both of them briefly the other day---it was downright exhilarating to not have to inhale pigaratte smoke! It definitely smelled better in there.

Back to pools---I can't see any pool in Vegas operating with the current restrictions--I mean, how can you maintain social distancing or wear a mask?--but I'm sure the casinos will put tremendous pressure on state authorities to be able to reopen their pool areas as summer approaches, whether or not it's actually safe to do so by then.

I agree--the only way to find out is to call the property directly.

At least some pools were open in June when I was there.  In particular,  Bellagio, Red Rock, and GVR pools were open - I went to all of them during the trip.  For the Thanksgiving trip, I went to the wave/beach pool at Mandalay.  At each of the four pools, chairs were arranged apart from one another.  That didn't keep people from being around each other in the water.

Also per the Review Journal, some pools had casting calls last week and will be opening soon this month.

How about Bally's Blu Pool?

Thanks

Reading the Review-Journal today, almost all pools are opening this month, or have already opened.  I'd say Bally's Blu pool is likely open.
