We really like the Planet Hollywood buffet, with all the ethnic choices. But maybe 2 years ago the desserts became almost all cupcakes. To me, that stinks. Where is the cheesecake? Tiramisu? Pie? Any opinions?
Oh man, it has been awhile since we have been there cause the last time I was there it was not all cupcakes. My fav things on that buffet were the crepes and the cotton candy - tell me that they are not gone!
eholmes - you're in luck - the crepes & cotton candy are still there. However, I do agree with LHEFFE that the cupcake overload is getting old!! I did notice, when we went on a "Holiday" - higher price, that they (shockingly) put out a few more dessert items. I miss the cookies that they used to have "way back when" it was the Alladin. All were homemade & there were about 5 diff. kinds!!
They always give us a comment card at the buffet and every time we fill it out, we complain about the cupcakes - way too heavy after a good meal. We have even spoken to one of the managers who agrees but so far no change. Still a good buffet though.
I also put it on the comment card every time, but I guess the opinion of a 5 year Diamond is not that important. The cupcake display always seems to be completely full so I think few people are taking them. It's a mystery to me why they have not gone back to regular desserts.
tonycc they never mentioned in that blog that cupcakes were replacing most of the other dessert items. As indicated on that website it is "... the official blog of the Las Vegas casino-hotels operated by Caesars Entertainment."
