Always have the snail mail reservation in your hot little hand- it's the clerk's fault for not going over it upon check in and upon/before signing- they always say: 3 nights comped or 2 nights comped w/ one charged and say the amount.

That's what I figured. The 'tone' seemed to imply that he was sending his son on the trip (with a friend) solo; and not going along for the ride. Hence, my question.
