Planet Hollywood Hotel Reviews anyone??

Amen Mare!
Mare, I too agree with you.
Besides that, I mirror smerrian's comments regarding PH. Have stayed there twice, not overly impressed, and have another reservation for three nights my next trip and got me to thinking about changing to something else w/Caesars. After my first four nights at Cosmo, not sure anything CET has will be good enough.
Maybe I should try contacting M, and see if they can do anything better than my current mailer??!
To the original poster, your experience may vary. Call me undecided.
My room was too dark and I hated trying to get shampoo out of those long tubes too!!
You couldn't squeeze them, you couldn't get jack out of them.
Hate the layout of the casino. I have inate god-given great sense of direction and they make it a confusing maze.
My towels were 100 years old- threadbare, once purple, now lavender.

My friend who works in IT couldn't get the TV to work.
The window is tiny w/ a large shelf and awkward to get to. I had to move the round table w/ Harry Hamlins Clash of the Titians boots in it.
I rather stay at IP myself- at least it's ksitch-factor is intact.
PH has the worst parking, I don't go to Vegas to shop and be attacked by kiosk-vendors.

The best thing I can say about PHo is the giant Marty Feldman poster as Igor by the elevators ROCKED
and you get 2 free bottles of waters per day by housekeeping and free is free. Never again. (and I'm Diamond)
Sorry if I came across as rude Justmare. However this post is in regard to a question from a fellow member who has a reservation at PH and is asking for feedback. I read some of the other feedback which I found a little silly so I gave bkoelsch my opinion. I will be at PH Jan 16 for five nights comped. Let see if I get my money's worth. Maybe PH has deteriorated but I am sure there is still no comparison between IP and PH. If I have problems I will so report but I will not complain about a rude employee, a dark room, or shampoo tubes that are hard to sqeeze. Go Colts beat Oakland.

So, let me make sure I have this right.

- The original poster said that (s)he has read bad reviews this year in regards to the service level received at check-in and issues with the rooms and wanted feedback from LVA members.

- LVA members reply with actual experiences with rude employees and issues with the rooms.

- You say that those posts are unreasonable and silly because they don't meet your definition of an issue with the hotel.

Is that about right?
I said some of the posts were in that category yes. Especially a room is to dark, shampoo tubes are hard to squeeze, or ONE rude employee was encountered. I cannot imagine any of those comments having an relevance to a person who wants useful information in regard to staying at PH. The info on parking, the view, and the eating places would be what I would consider useful if I was a first timer at a resort. Hopefully I have made myself clear without being rude.
You are, of course, entitled to your opinion. Merry Christmas.
Well I have stayed there twice now and those little bottles of shampoo and lotions are a real issue. They are useless because you can't squeeze them and get anything out.
Well after coming back from PH it was all that bad. The room wasn't that dark like some people describe. They upgraded me to a fountain view no extra charge. The only complaint was the length of time for the hot water. Holy man alive, it took seriously 5 minutes or more until it got hot. Overall still was a nice place.
bkoelsch,

glad you had a good experience there, everyone has their opinions and expectations, personally, I have not had a bad experience at any of the places I have stayed at, I am just happy to be back in Vegas, I go with the flow! I am heading back in April and trying out the Cosmopolitan, not worrying about what some say, just excited about the terrace!!
