Platinum and resort fees

Does Harrah's (Caesars) still waive resort fees for platinum card holders. Also, if a platinum holder books two rooms, and pays for both, is the fee waived for both rooms. I apologize because I think this has been discussed before, but I can't find the thread. Thanks.

I was just made platinum this week. I checked the TR web site for rate quotes and reservations and there were no resort fee. Last week the fees were there. Looks like the fees are waived.

I was at Rio last week, I am platinum, I booked two rooms my room the bullshit fee I mean Resort fee was waived the other room wasnt waived.

Thanks guys, exactly what I needed to know. Don't usually stay on the Strip and, so usually avoid RFees--but we are taking the 21-year-old grand daughter, so, it's the Strip this trip. We are apparently going to be hip n' happn' instead of old and frumpy on this little adventure. Thanks again!

I went to Harrahs in Atlantic City with my brand new platinum card and learned that resort fees are not waived in AC for any class of player card. In Las Vegas, platinum does get the fee waived.

That is the source of confusion. The policy varies by location.

Thanks ProfBac. Ended up calling PHo and asked, that since we booked Gold, would fee be waived if we become Platinum before checking in. According to Orturo at the phone desk, if we show a Platinum card at checking, the fee would be waived-- but for only one room per card holder. We needed two rooms, so I booked one in my name and one in the wife's name. Both Getting Platinum via TR credit cards. Added some value to the card, plus, both wife and I will have the 24-hour buffet pass for two--works well or trip with daughter and granddaughter. Since we never stay on the Strip any more, we had seen little value in the TR credit card previously; but, because of this special trip, it carries quite a bit of value. Thanks all.

in Vegas the resort fee is waived for Platinum, but if you want to use the Fitness Center, they charge you $15!
