Platinum member at Rio Carnival Buffet

Does the Rio Carnival Buffet have a separate entrance for platinum members and higher? Thanks in advance for the help.

They did the last time we were there.

Had one 10 days ago when I walked by. Last 2 times we've eaten there, we have been less than pleased with selection. We prefer PH.

There is a separate entrance for the Platinum/Diamond/7* members. They have a separate eating area also; the waitstaff usually are very attentive in getting your drink requests and clearing off your table while you are busy grabbing another plateful of food.

Interesting. I had always thought that the Carnival was a decent to good buffet. I was there last summer. Whats gone wrong with it since?? I do agree that it is not as good as the Spice market but we have never had any complaints during our August trips to Vegas.

Champ, we used to think it was one of the best around too (at that price level), but starting noticing the quality and selection drop off a couple of years ago. On our last visit (last Oct), we came to the conclusion that it wasn't any better than GVR or RR...decided to write it off our list of places to go. We really like the PH buffet...much better than Paris.

We ate dinner there twice in April (with our free buffet of buffets passes from our credit card). We used the Platinum entrance both times and enjoyed quick entry and special seating as well. One night we got free champagne, the other night they didn't offer it to us.

To us, the food was the same type/quality/variety that it has been in years past. We like it because this buffet has such a big variety we can both find lots of choices for our varied likes. The only thing we think they could improve on would be to have more no sugar added dessert choices.

Now if we had to pay the full price of $31 for dinner, we would probably think twice. But with the buy one get one free coupon, we think it's an excellent choice!

Almost always an excellent choice when its free.
