Platinum Status Extended for Visa Card Holders

I just received a letter stating my Platinum status has been extended through 2015 because I'm a Total Rewards Visa card holder. Anyone else receive the same letter? I only have about 2000 Tier points, far from the 10,000 needed for Platinum.

I've not received anything....but that would be great. The platinum benefits I've used have been great but only about a 1/4 of the way there to actually "earning" it.

Platinum status only requires 5,000 tier credits.

I have not received any such letter. I usually make platinum anyway. I am secretly wishing they would bump me up to diamond. I know, I know--not happening.

This would be awesome! I haven't gotten my letter, but hope I do!

We signed my husband up for a separate card to get the platinum benefit for one more year. (We are low rollers)

Diane - at least you'll get another free 24 buffet for 2! They didn't offer me anything additional (yet), just the extension, but that's enough to use the shorter lines when you go to Vegas.

I got the letter also, but did get to 5,000 tier pts by the end of Dec.

So true!!! We are planning on using that on our trip in 2 weeks!

Did receive the same letter today- platinum through March 2015.

I received the letter about Platinum through March 2015. They also sent some cash back to be used before September 30, 2014.

I did not see the mention about the free 24 hour buffet for 2.
