I wonder if you need to have a certain number of tier credits to be sent the extension?

Funny thing, I was reading this post...minutes later my husband walked in w/the mail and his letter was there saying his platinum has been extended through March of 2015. I have not received one. There were coupons attached as well. One was for two free midweek nights at his choice of Rio, Bally's, Flamingo, Harrah's or the Quad. Then at the bottom - in fine print - it says reservation is subject to a daily resort fee of anywhere from $15 - $25 but not assessed for diamond or 7 stars.

So, what is the perk in remaining Platinum? We're going to be socked w/the resort fees this year, regardless?

I too wonder about the resort fees. We're booked to stay at Paris & Planet Hollywood in April. When we booked (a month ago), there was no mention of resort fees. However, I have also received offers that do mention resort fees, except for diamond/7 stars. I don't know what will happen!!

We were not socked with resort fees. I only earned 1000 tier points when we were there in February.

Take a look on the total rewards website. Log in and click on top of tool bar to be taken to new tr website. Open up and you will see your status for 2014.

JBatdorf - I just looked on the Total Rewards benefits page and it shows that there are only shorter lines now for Diamond and Seven Stars. Do you think that is changed?

Has anyone been lately to any of the buffets to confirm that the Rio, Paris, etc still have the priority listed to include Platinum? They did when we were there in November. YIKES! I hope that hasn't changed. We have the Buffet of Buffets pass and were planning to try to eat much smaller meals several times. If we have to wait in the longer lines we may not want to do that.

The lines did not appear long. Harrah's lets the Platinum card holder use the fast lane for the Buffet.
