Platinum Status Extended for Visa Card Holders

I was in Vegas in February and Platinum could still use all the shorter lines. Both in check in/check out and the buffet's. I would be very cranky if that changed.

Now Harrah's Rincon, now Harrah's Southern California Resort, doesn't do poo-poo-caca for Platinum holders. And their free play sucks.

Thanks for the info. We go in less than two weeks, so hopefully we will see that it hasn't changed! If something has changed, I will post here on my return! Thanks!!

PS - I got my letter via email today that confirmed my Platinum status thru 2015! WOOHOO!!

Also received the extension of platinum for a year w/my credit card--gave them virtually no play in the past year, so it can't be linked to that. Don't remember seeing additional coupons, though, so perhaps that's why.

Platinum was still allowed the side entrance to Paris buffet in mid-February--that's been my favorite perk of getting platinum w/the card. And was pleasantly surprised during my first trip to Quad that month to find that resort fee was waived--read somewhere later (can't remember where) that they do this for platinum or higher.

Signed wife up for cc, and looking forward to another 24 hours of buffets w/her pass next month--plus the $100 in free points they give for using the card in the 1st 3 months. This has been one of the better deals all the way around that we've found for getting a credit card.

Agree with you completely kouponking! We leave a week from today and can't wait to use our buffet of buffet coupon we got for my husband signing up for his card. Between that, and the money I have earned thru Social Rewards, we have over $515 to use this trip!!

This post is pretty irritating as I made a trip to Horseshoe Southern Indiana in November for one reason to earn 1000 tier credits that would allow me to stay Platinum for 2014. Now I hear that if I had not done this I might have still been given that status. The only consolation is that I ended up winning $400 and $20 in free food.

When I complained to Ceasar's about the bank (Comenity) I said I would dump the card since the bank and their website was so bad there was not reason to keep it if they do not associate Platinum with the card annually.

Maybe they listened, but if more people would tell them the card is basically useless without any benefits compared to hotel and airline cards they would listen more and maybe make it permanent.

The only reason I still have it is Platinum and to keep points alive if I cannot get to a Harrahs in 6 months.

CZR stock is hurting now due to their debt, there is an article in Barron's talking about Ceasar's as a company.

Now is a good time for them to listen to customers...

We have been back now from Vegas about a week. Just in case anyone wanted to know, Rio, Planet Hollywood, Paris and Harrah's all had Platinum lines that were separate from the general lines for the buffet. Made our wait SOOOO short!!
