Please Help - Can't Decide Where To Stay!!

We will be going to Las Vegas in December. Because of the occasion we decided to splurge and stay at either the Augustus Tower at Caesars Palace or a Lakeview Deluxe room at the Bellagio so we have a good view of the strip. Do you have any pointers, opinions or experieces with either of these places that you'd care to share to help me choose, pretty please? Thanks so much!

If I was going to splurge, I would stay at the Cosmopolitan. Most rooms have balconies and the wrap around suites have a balcony that gives you two different views (you are on a corner so the balcony wraps around the building). All of the restaurants are incredible and you can't beat Milo's $20.11 three course lunch (served from 12:30 to 2:00 pm). The Wicked Spoon buffet is also amazing and their $22 brunch is well worth the price. I have stayed at all three properties and you can't go wrong with any of them, but Cosmopolitan is our new favorite place to stay (and we live in Vegas).

I have stayed in both and would always choose Caesars. However, I understand that Bellagio has updated the rooms so it might be closer now. Augustus tower is a bit bigger than Bellagio rooms. If you get Augustus with fountain views it's just as good as the Bellagio view.
I can't agree that Augustus with a B fountain view is just as good as a Bellagio Lakeview Delux room. To me the Lakeview with the music is special and you don't get that with August Tower view.

But, I have to say that Bellagio missed the mark in their "updating" of the rooms. That's all I will say, because I still love Bellagio, but do not base your decision on the so called updating of the rooms at Bellagio.

In Bellagio, you can see rainbows in the fountains in the afternoon. That plus the aforementioned music (on the TV) make it especially memorable.

I like Augustus tower rooms, but I actually prefer the Palace Tower premium rooms for the dual bathrooms.

Bellagio for me. Cosmo still seem to be having problems in all sortd of ways, read posts, but their buffet is good, not near as good as Bellagios, but good.
I've never stayed at Bellagio so having said that, I would stay at Bellagio to stay somewhere different. I've heard wonderful things about being able to listen to the music while watching the fountains from your room. I've stayed in August Tower rooms several times. I love love the large jetted tub in the bathroom and like the rooms are larger than average. I used to really enjoy the Bellagio Fountain view and beyond. City Center has ruined that view for me. So having a fountain view room no longer seems special.
Bell first, Augustus second.

Candy is being a sweetie pie as usual.
Saw her Bell room Friday........The Fountain view is FABULOUS
but the redecorated rooms are cheap looking.......tacky.
They went from warm, elegant colors.........to Paris' old blue rooms.
Not kidding.
Must have used some first year Int.Dec student for the job. Too bad.
But its new, believe it or not.
And like I said, Can't beat the VIEW.

If you're paying, Cosmo or Bellagio..

Ceasars is only good for Diamond Players and even then-- not my first choice, and I'm diamond
What Cindy said.
Forwarned is forearmed.
To anyone, if you liked what I liked about Bell rooms, prepare for a shock.
And not in a good way.

But, maybe you'll like it, if you like faux mod circles and squiggles.
And blue.
