Pool access is crazy expensive

People in my social media groups  are posting pictures of menu / cabana prices for pools on the strip.    Cabanas are going for over $1.5K per day in some places....and bottle service starts at $750 for the cheap stuff....upwards of $1000 for decent hooch.    Just reserving a chair costs over $300.

I cant imagine wanting to swim in any of those pools that badly but I guess its no biggie for some folks.    In any event, with prices like that I think Vegas casinos can recover their 2020 losses in no time.

That's why I loathe the casinos. They're extremely willing to charge insane prices for just about anything.

I suppose, though, that there are some people who are idiotic enough to pony up, who wipe their asses with $100 bills. Why would we normal people want to go to Vegas and fight these nimrods for pool access or rooms or steak dinners or whatever?

Vegas personifies the worst of humanity: greed and stupidity, mixed with outrageously overpriced booze and simmering in the hot sun. I'd rather visit a leper colony.

I can afford the bottle of "Drink Aide Hangover Prevention."

But then, at those prices, how could I get a hangover?  Other than the naturally occurring belly hangover, one of those 'benefits' of being a senior citizen.  They'd probably pay me not to show up in a bathing suit.

It's an iconic Vegas experience to wake up with a hangover, then stagger outside into the blast furnace, facing a blinding sun. Then you retreat inside, whimpering---or you plop down on a lounge chair by the pool.

I suppose that some folks affected in this way might not peruse the drink menu very carefully. They might, for instance, think, "God, my head hurts, I probably just can't see the decimal point. Garcon!"

(Parenthetically, what's the proper tip when you order a $9000 drink?)

Why does someone who hates Vegas so much, spend his entire day on a Vegas web site?

I don't know, Tommie-poo. Why do you?

And please take your moronic personal attack spew over to the Sink where it belongs.

I have had my shots & have been traveling.  Vegas is scheduled for the summer.

I just find it curious/sad that you spend all your time on a Vegas site making 20+ posts per day & you hate Vegas.

What a sad life.

Can't control yourself, can you? Congrats on ruining this thread.

I have zero problem with anyone charging whatever price they like for anything.  I won't be buying drinks at those pools, however.

I'm with you 100% on this Bolierman. Who really cares what the casino believes it can get away with. I would expect that the people from Cali can afford this and the highrollers expect this pricing (to keep out the riffraf).

Personally, I've had enough sun during my years to not feel the need to spend it by a pool where I will be charged excessive fees for a Corona/Bud.....You will find me in the bar playing VP and getting the free drinks..
