The Quad

When we went to the Hash House last week, I couldn't believe how nice, though still unfinished, it has become. Bright and classy looking so far

Not staying there this trip but I am amazed at the drastic improvement of the casino. You enter from the area that was O'Sheas or by vehicle from where the Carnival Court shops were. They've still got a long ways to go with a lot of construction noise. As far as the new cocktail waitress outfits . They look like something my mother might have worn 50/60 years ago to clean the house.
Went to the casino at the Quad to play a couple of their daily poker tournaments (fun time) and was truly blown away at just how different the gaming area is. There is NOTHING you can recognize of the old place as the floor patern is now circular.

I talked to a few employees and all agree that there's no immediate plans for the hotel rooms to be done. Sad because they are truly some of the WORST rooms on the strip. However, that said, I am very impressed with the casino area considering they never closed the place down and did it all piece-meal.
Is the classic car showroom still there? Thanks.

I find it hard to believe that with the huge amount of money being spent on the facelift/new construction there is no plan to remodel the rooms. My wife would never stay there in the past and if the rooms stay the same there will not be enough business to recoup all the money spent making the area respectable. There MUST be a plan to improve the lodging.

Yes

Call me old-school, but I miss the dingy old casino floor; there are enough new places in Vegas for people that want that kind of thing! That being said, I've never stayed at the hotel! I loved the old dragons and tacky tiki-motif. Maybe Genting's new property where the Stardust was will return that "vibe" to me.... Just sayin'...Long live the Tiki!
