Question from Diamond newbie

Hi gang - just became Diamond (FINALLY!) for the first time and am excited about checking out the Diamond lounges. Thought I'd see which ones you Diamond veterans think are the best in Las Vegas and Atlantic City.
Thanks in advance for your input!
In Vegas, Caesars is my favorite. I feel the servers and bartenders are more attentive. Rio and Harrahs are my next favorites followed by Paris and PHo. I've never been to the one at Flamingo.

I've only been to the DL in Caesars AC. I'm pretty sure it costs $10 in reward credits to enter an AC DL. In return, they offer a buffet and complimentary drinks. The one at Caesars has seats overlooking the ocean.

I agree.
There is a $10 charge in AC, unless you have more than 25,000 RC's, then there is no charge.

Vegas DL's have only chips & dip. They do serve "hot food" for 2 hours. The hot food is usually hot dogs & chicken wings. AC DL's always have hot entrees (occasionally prime rib) , & pick & peal shrimp.
The food is much better in AC.
Caesars, Paris, and Rio are all wifi hotspots. Caesars tends to get full during major sports events and you can't get in. Same with Flamingo, but it is probably the smallest. PH seems to get the fewest visitors. Food is about the same at all of them but there is a difference in liquor brands available.

Our last trip to LV was our first full trip to be diamond. We checked em all out and some of them a couple of times. I think it really depends on what you are looking for. All have food about the same.

Ceasars--like the least. food was the worst, very crowded and rude servers (tried it twice)
Flamigo--very small, very friendly staff, no bar
Harrahs--large bar, good food, more of a Cheers bar feel to it where everyone knows your name
Planet Hollywood--nice, not much of a crowd, good drinks
Rio--icky, very poor service, not much of a food selection (maybe a bad night was only there once)
Paris--nice bar, friendly service, some what crowded
We are definitely Paris DL lovers. We know just about all the staff and they all remember us and welcome us warmly, That is where we usually stay, so it makes sense.

Our most recent trip, July 9-17, found the DL at Flamingo closed due to plumbing issues. These issues also affected the rooms to some degree.

We stopped at Caesar's after eating at the buffet. Service was good. For "research purposes" I scouted the food. I was surprised to see a full salad bar. They also had roasted chicken wings. a saffron type rice
and what looked like an empanada. The dessert section wasn't very impressive.

My biggest amusement, though, was getting Grey Goose at Caesar's, but it is NOT available at Paris!
And my favorite manager line was "all DL's are the same in Vegas."

Visit them all and have a good time.

Joy
Thank you all so much for the advice!

I was just in A.C. last weekend and decided to check out the Showboat DL and had no idea about the $10 comp fee. We had just eaten lunch, so I only poked my head in to see the setup and food offerings, but didn't think it was worth $20 comps for me and the husband to have a drink at the bar.

Good to hear that the Vegas properties don't charge (though I understand from your messages that the food selection is also a good deal less than what I saw at Showboat). Still, a nice perk -- especially that Grey Goose at Caesars! Sounds as if Paris is definitely a winner, too.

Thanks again for the pointers!
