The Range Steakhouse at Harrah's

I've read that the Range is closing and will be replaced by Ruth's Chris. Does anyone know the closing date?
I'd love that. The 2 Ruth's Chris off the Strip just didn't do enough business to stay open, but I think one on the strip would be great, especially since the view from the Range was always good!

Bushman

I heard November 15, but who knows?

The real QUESTION is - will Ruth's Chris accept Total Rewards points at 1 to 1, or will this be Las Vegas' first 2-to-1 (or worse) points comp?

Todays news said it closes the 11th. I'm there that weekend, may have to go one last time.

Sad news. I have very fond memories ( and pictures ) of a much younger self and wife on our very first trip to Vegas having dinner there. At the time, The Range was the best steak house on the strip. We had the best seat in the place and were treated like royalty. Ahhh, what a night!
I will have to plan on going one last time since I get in on the 8th. The only Ruth's Chris I have eaten at was in Kansas City and I thought it was a little over-priced for the atmosphere, quality of food and service.
Tonycc it had better be 1 to 1 since it is in the casino. I got screwed in NOLA at one of the restaurants near Harrah's on that 2 to 1 deal. I did not know the 2 to 1 deal existed until after I paid the bill. It will never happen again as either 1 to 1 or see you later. I would rather pay the bill than waste reward credits.

you got that right - it happened to me one in Atlantic City
Sad news....I wanted to go there in less then two weeks. Loved that place. I can go to Ruth Chris in NJ

When checking in at Harrah's Diamond checkin the other night, I asked if Ruth's Chris would accept TR points. The reply was --

"That's the $64,000 question!!"

In other words, they don't know.

OTOH, they gave me a 20% off coupon at the Range. We did not use it. Ever since the Range went to "Whole Leaf" Caesar salad, and started grabbing away your wine glass before you were finished (2 sips left), we wrote off the Range.

Happy to see this change, sure hope they take TR points at 1:$1.
