Red Room at Paris

On our next trip to Las Vegas, my husband and I will be staying at the Paris in a Red Room. This will only be the second time we're staying at the Paris (or any Harrah's property for that matter). The first time we stayed at the Paris was in a Suite Le Mans. Obviously, any Suite will be bigger than a regular room, but the reservations gentleman assured me that the Red Rooms are very nice and are all on upper floors. We decided to spend the little extra money on the Red Room versus a regular standard room because the Red Rooms are the newly renovated ones. Good decision? When we stayed in the Suite Le Mans a few years back, it was offered to us at an amazing price. This year, it would have cost $400+, so we decided against it. Are we going to be terribly disappointed with a Red Room having stayed in the Suite Le Mans previously? Thank you.
You may be diaappointed only because it's not a suite. The red rooms are very nice, comfy beds, flat screen tv's, this gutted mini bars that you can use as a fridge. They have coffee makers in the bathrooms and in room safes for great convenience. We've not had a suite @ Paris yet sk I can't really compare it, but it's really a lot nicer room thane their regular room. If you can get a strip view, even better.
Thanks for the info! Are there any tricks to asking and receiving upgrades at Harrah's properties? We're not always, but usually upgraded for free or for extremely discounted rates at MGM/Mirage properties. We normally stay at MGM/Mirage properties exclusively, but due to a newly enforced policy about a 72 hour waiting period in between using Mlife promotions, we're having trouble obtaining all the reservations we want at MGM/Mirage properties. Thus, we've opted to stay at the Paris again because we did like the Suite Le Mans last time. I'm guessing we'll be happy with the Red Room, but it's always nice and exciting to get upgraded to a Suite. Thanks, again!
Frequently, upgrades depend on supply and demand and the number of high rollers in the house.

The regular Red Rooms may have a view of Bally's or the condo towers near the airport. There are premium Red Rooms also, which may have a better view.

Also, the regular Red Room has a regular size, small, low bathtub, but it also has a very nice separate shower. I don't know what kind of tub the premium Red Room has.

We like the Red Rooms, would definitely book them again, if the event we were attending was at Paris or Bally's, or even Planet Hollywood.

The trouble is the casino. Very bad video poker and very sparse video poker. Loads of penny machines, and those annoying dancing girls.

Have stayed in most rooms at Paris, upgrading to a Red or Perimeter Room might be just a little nicer than standard. If you're going to "nest" in your room then go for it, if you're only going to rest your head on a pillow and head back down the save the money for the casino, etc.

I like the "P" rooms at the end of the hall. Big rooms with windows on 2 walls. I can usually get one just by asking, bet the $20 trick can help also.

You can also get a "P" Red Room with the windows on two walls. We stayed in one last year. Very nice.

Really Tony? I'll have to ask about them next month. Thanks for the info.
Thanks, everyone for the info!
