Resort Fees

Going to Las Vegas in February and compairing my "free room" offers!  Silverton, M Resort, Tropicana, Boyd-Orleans and Ceasar's all have free rooms for me.  Just got an email from MGM with the new My Choice and their "free" rooms charge a resort fee.  Obviously all the hotels above have resort fees, but they are waived at every property except the MGM ones with a comped room.

Anyone know why?

I don't understand that either.  Palazzo does the same as MGM.  Comped rooms still charge resort fee.  I had an offer for 2 free nights at MGM with 2 free tickets for Cher.  I was going to take them up on it, till I called and with taxes, my resort fee would have been over $80.  I could have gotten two Cher tickets by themselves for just about that price.  Sidenote:  I have seen Cher and the only way I would see her again would be for free.  Her show is awful, but free is free and my friend had never seen her.

The Strip casinos aren't chasing standard, middle class gamblers anymore.  Its that simple.

Downtown and offstrip casinos are.

Your examples bear that out.

Does Wynn charge resort fees on comped rooms?

All of the CET properties charge a resort fee on a comped room, unless you are Diamond or higher
