Resort Fees

What all does the resort fee include? I along with many others from previous threads don't seem happy about the added in price. We weren't told how to access the wifi. I believe the fitness center is part of it but is there anything else? If I have to pay it I might as well get my money's worth.

Any chance they remove it if you have enough play during your stay ?

Depends on where you are staying.

When you register, clarify your room rate per day. Ask for the breakdown (taxes, etc.). If a Resort Fee is part of it, ask what that includes. Typically they quote stuff that is free to hotel guests anyway, such as "use of the pool [well, yeah], use of the fitness room [usually free anyway], daily newspaper [wooo], free local calls from your room [who doesn't have a cell phone to do that], etc.

If free Internet is included in the Resort Fee, that is of some value and it may make the resort fee a break even situation in that case.

In times past, some had success getting the resort fee removed at registration by saying "I won't be using any of those things so please remove the fee." But that may be a thing of the past. Doesn't hurt to ask, though.

Up front comped rooms usually have no resort fee attached.

I doubt you can get the resort fee removed at the end of your stay. It will be assumed that you used all the "benefits", or if you didn't that was your loss. But you can always see a Host and ask.

Just look at it as part of the cost of your Vegas vacation and don't let it give you heartburn.

OR- You could just say NO to the ripoff, no real value resort fees. I refuse to stay at ANY casino that tries to extort me with this thieving fee. If it is not comped, I won't stay and play there.
I don't stay at hotels with resort fees either. I'm staying at the Hilton GVC on the strip in June. Many of the non-casino hotels don't charge resort fees, so if you have a car you might consider staying at one of those.

Rip-off. Comp should mean comp.
I was really bummed when CET stopped waiving the resort fees for Platinum tier. For my four night June trip which is coimped, $25 daily plus $12 in taxes for four nights at Bally's. Why bother with Platinum? The only realistic benefit is that in some restaurants in Vegas one can skip the line.
